Precaution: As long as the feedback loop volume is at [*~ 1.0] for this technique, it'll be fine, but it's worth putting [clip~ -0.9 0.9] right before the [dac~] for extra safety! [clip~ -0.9 0.9] will act as a limiter. For non-percussive sounds, it might be better to use [vd~] instead of [delread~]. This will prevent the clicking noise when you change the delay time!! So, replace your [delread~ delayname1 500] with [vd~ delayname1]. And connect [number] -> [message that says $1 10] -> [line~] to the inlet of [vd~]. Everything else will be the same as the video!
im working on a track thats predominantly written in pd and wanted to add glitches to the drums I exported the performance to micro edit the drums now my life will be easier great video man
Thank you for watching! Yeah, I wonder if there's an efficient way to slice samples in Pure Data. I know it's certainly possible in Max so I need to analyze that patcher. I should check them out! Thanks for the recommendations!

This tutorial is so helpful, thx for your sharing.
Thank you so much for watching! Happy to hear that it's helpful!
Could you do a pure data slicing tutorial? Another clear example of glitch breaks would be Xanopticon or Kid606, an excellent video. Cheers mate
