You’re coloring technique is astounding too! If you have any Paint Tool SAI tips in coloring anthro’s that would be awesome, because I’m truthfully stumped....
The eraser isn't a crutch, it's a tool, don't feel ashamed because you erase! :)
Even the most professional of artists use erasers all the time, its a tool and you shouldn't feel bad about using it.

You should feel no shame in using an eraser, It's a tool not a crutch! And admitting to your mistakes is good, considering some people don't use it all and they end up with a messy finish.

Quick question, And it's a dumb question, how do you change the color of the black borders without having to make a new layer and draw a new border all together in a new color.
What I do is make a clipping layer over my lineart and color over with the desired color, then merge the clipping layer down when it's all said and done
