I found you when I spent 2 months in a wheelchair in the hospital from endocarditis (heart infection that caused multiple abscesses to grow in my pelvis and heart valves ) and I just recently learned you use a chair too, I'm out of mine but knowing what you've had to go through and yiu make content with no cursing and no BS and no boring stuff. You deserve a lot more subs and likes than you have. I grew up in Baltimore but my family (two older parents and 12 yr old me) moved to FL now 10 years ago. But I still get homesick for some things, particularly the food. I live in Canada and my (now) fiance lives in Maryland. My first time (and only times) eating crabs were with him, and has become something we do when ever I go down to visit him. He actually proposed to me with a Maryland Blue Crab. He somehow got the ring into the crab so when I cracked into it, there was a ring wrapped in plastic wrap inside. Definitely a unique way to propose and something I will remember.

Thanks Wolfe.Pit (aka Mr Pothole) for showing how to cook crabs. If you're lucky enuf to live onshore you may find sand.crabs tiny things about the size of a quarter. They are plentiful, and easy to catch. Boil a soup and throw them live into the broth. (The reason there are so many on the beach is that most of them will be eaten by gulls:: you're just another gull). Sip your soup. When you get a sand crab be fearless and bite. EXPLOSION of flavor!
One of my best memories of living in Virginia some 35 years ago...Came in from fishing on the Chesapeake. Towed my boat over to a restaurant on the water, and bought a grocery bag full of blue crabs for about five dollars! They steamed them on the dock for us and we are crabs all the way from the dock back to Roanoke. Tossed the carcasses out the back window of the truck and the dogs are them. Lol by the time we got home there was nothing to clean up.

My dad used to make these same crabs. I'm from PA but the MD border is a 30 minute drive from my hometown so we know all about seafood . He rigged a large stock pot- just for crabs to be able to wire the lid down so they couldn't escape once it got hot

Having grown up in Florida and crabbed up and down the east coast of Florida, I have to say Knuts to the seasoning. I've had them fresh in Maryland and I'm not sayin' they were bad, they weren't, but I want to taste my sea food. Crabs are sweet deliciousness by themselves and I'd rather taste that. It adds flavor to it because as you pick the meat out the seasoning gets on it. I don't like the seasoning bc it's too salty for me. I usually wipe the seasoning off the crab bf I start picking.
@@JimmysALilGirl When I cook crabs, I cook them without any seasoning. If I want them seasoned as I eat them, I have a little bowl with lemon juice or vinegar plus whatever seasoning I want and I dip each morsel into it before eating it.
Has a Louisianan we have crab boils . boiled crabs, if done right ,have nice and tender meat not soggy. It was nice to see a different method. I have had steamed crabs before but the person who steamed them only added a very small amount of Old Bay and they were so bland I felt bad that the crab had to die for that 😂. Pancouver venguins - Some of the seasoning does penetrate the crab, but when you're picking the seasoned crab is when the seasoning really benefit as it gets on the meat as you pick the crabs as well as your hands! I commiserate with your wife regarding crab allergies. I can eat, and enjoy, the meat from blue crabs but the iodine in soft shelled blue crabs makes me puff up, and according to my allergist, might cause my esophagus to puff up and stop me from breathing. I only knew of Legal seafood Co because my stepsister had to one up me one year for Christmas when she didn’t come back home for the holidays. I was set and ready to make a beautiful prime rib dinner and the common “C-U-Next-Tuesday” had sent a massive lobster and steak dinner overnighted for all of us on Christmas Eve before noon .... she just had to one up me. today is my birthday but yesterday we had my birthday dinner I live in North Carolina near Charlotte luckily there's a place called saltwater markets that gets delivered live blue crabs and we got those we got a half a bushel of number ones they were so good very very heavy no they're not Maryland Blue Crabs but through the closest thing that I could get I'm from Maryland nothing tastes like a Maryland Blue Crab and here in about an half hour to an hour I'm going to heat up a couple blue crabs that I have left over and have them for my dinner thank you for the video

I commiserate with your wife regarding crab allergies. I can eat, and enjoy, the meat from blue crabs but the iodine in soft shelled blue crabs makes me puff up, and according to my allergist, might cause my esophagus to puff up and stop me from breathing. Just a warning to all those who are allergic to shell fish. Loved this video. Thanks.

Great video. Could you tell me the reason you like to use apple cider vinegar? I always use white. I didn't know they still made Pabst . A factory was just a few blocks from me they finally took it down I don't know who got the giant bottle that was on top. Good eating

You should try that with National Bohemian ("Natty Boh"). Never had crabs with vinegar before but I'll have to give it a try. Enjoy the MD blue crabs! I always enjoy your videos!

Your wife is a GEM!! And blue crab is my absolute favorite!! I only knew of Legal seafood Co because my stepsister had to one up me one year for Christmas when she didn’t come back home for the holidays. I was set and ready to make a beautiful prime rib dinner and the common “C-U-Next-Tuesday” had sent a massive lobster and steak dinner overnighted for all of us on Christmas Eve before noon .... she just had to one up me. To spite her I’m sending her Cameron’s to her and her horrid children and third husband lol 😂 Thanks Larry I owe you for this!

today is my birthday but yesterday we had my birthday dinner I live in North Carolina near Charlotte luckily there's a place called saltwater markets that gets delivered live blue crabs and we got those we got a half a bushel of number ones they were so good very very heavy no they're not Maryland Blue Crabs but through the closest thing that I could get I'm from Maryland nothing tastes like a Maryland Blue Crab and here in about an half hour to an hour I'm going to heat up a couple blue crabs that I have left over and have them for my dinner thank you for the video
I like eating crawfish, crabs are good too. They're both just a lot of work for a small amount of meat, but still delicious 😋
