    I am in America. I love the great beauty of South African Choral praise and traditional songs. This is one of my favorites that often comes unbidden to mind. I can’t seem to get enough of it.

    I am obsessed with South African music and just South African Choirs. The music just brings peace calm and joy to me for some reason. I don’t understand a word but love this music and culture. Love from a Gambian American.

    It means more to me that I didn't understand the language and just listened to the beautiful voices and people singing over and over. There is something about the South African languages that captures emotions so magnificently. "Release us that we may leave, Homes are far away". So beautiful.

    ❤reminds me of my primary school says, the lead singer, so talented and still humble and doubts, the folding of the arms while belting out smooth notes. Is a sign of an African child who is shy and doubts that they belong.
