Anyway, compared to any form of IRL, we're still incredibly green, aren't we? :)) From a spectator's perspective, what I really like about the RF2 is also the fact that the tow doesn't seem to be so strong here. Again, it's difficult to say if the car you were following in the first half of the race didn't simply have a much superior setup, but assuming that the cars were comparable in performance, it's nice to see the "suck" not being the ultimate trump-card, as it kind of seems to be in iRacing. When you watch IRL races it seems that the real-world "suck" is a thing, but that its strength isn't too big and, more importantly, that it operates only at really small following distances. One last thing -- wow, aren't those RF2 BTCC Infinitis the easiest-handling RWD cars ever? :) I can't remember seeing a RWD racing car quite so happy to be driven slightly sideways on corner exits! I'm not sure if it's very realistic, but it sure looks fun! :)

Excellent race, Dave! Thanks for sharing. You mentioned that you address the screen-tearing by capping frame rates. Do you do that in-game, or through Nvidia?
the only thing for me with Rfactor2 is that you cant buy a single car to race the series you have to buy the entire pack, yes it may be cheaper then iracing in the long run but to drop nearly $70 dollars for the endurance pack plus the track is a bit steep, you can buy things over time.
I am curious re the quality of the RF2 graphics in your video. Looks excellent. Is this what it looks like or is the post processing you have done to your video
Hello and thank you for your videos 👍, I need you for information about a SimRig triple screen floor stand I think you use this brand I have 3 Iiyama screens in 32 inch curved and I see that there are two models with Vesa 50/75/100/150/200 and the 50/75/100 and I don't know which one I need and whether to add other things if you can tell me which one I need and another question given that I am a bit limited in terms of space (width) is it possible to orient the screen from right and left more than 45 degrees say 60/70 degrees closer to me is it possible to orient them as we want . thank you I'm waiting for your return 👍👍
Hi dave, I think you put the compressor on your voice a bit too harshly. A bit less will make your voice sound a more natural. And maybe a gate on the game audio activated by your voice could help your voice stick out a bit over the engine sound.
Just admit it Dave, you just want to see more people modelling BTCC content. Wasn’t this race just run a week or two ago? I know I watched BTCC at Donington recently. Speaking of which, have you had your mustang to a track day yet?
Cant even get it to load on my PC when I gi to a track it says content unavailable and tries to load then says wait or exit game cant make it work at all!!!!!
Do you happen to know why the AI during the race suddenly stops on the side of the track for no apparently reason? Is it because some of the cars are mods? Thank you.
Any idea and if they will be adding some evening time slot options for us USA guys? I'd like to give RF2/LFM it a proper try with the BTCC mod, but really don't want to fork out the cash for the mod if there no plans to add time slots when I can actually race, which is in the evenings Pacific Standard Time. ☹

Does anyone know how to fix side mirrors on this game? I know you can change the view with CTRL/ALT + arrow keys, but the side mirrors look as if they were zoomed in. 🤔
If i'm not mistakend, for your left-side mirror it's CTRL+arrow key direction, right-side mirror it's ALT+arrow key direction. For virtual mirror (inside your car) it's SHIFT+arrow key direction. Obviously this is whilst sat within your car on track.
Indeed. Ctrl+arrow up/down or alt+ arrow up/down. Center mirror or monitor, Shift+arrow up/down. Note: These settings are unique to each car livery. So same car different livery, you have to set them up again.
Thanks guys, I know about these options, but even if I get these settings right, the mirrors seem to have some sort of zoom applied. But I'll try again tomorrow 🙂

the only thing for me with Rfactor2 is that you cant buy a single car to race the series you have to buy the entire pack, yes it may be cheaper then iracing in the long run but to drop nearly $70 dollars for the endurance pack plus the track is a bit steep, you can buy things over time.
Good race Dave it looked fine to me. I do miss Jim.😆👍🇨🇦
The bmw m4 is amazing!
Amazing race ! Very impressive
And quality of the video is absolutely perfect (but the focus as you said) :)
Most fun I've had in the sim ever! But I'm also addicted to road America. I don't have enough time
I am curious re the quality of the RF2 graphics in your video. Looks excellent. Is this what it looks like or is the post processing you have done to your video
No post processing done at all. This is it 👍
This is great Dave, how did you make this game looking so good?
Is everything alright, David? Where are you?
Do you using any filter or reshade? This graphic settings is my type.
Nope, nothing at all 👍
Another great video Dave. What's the exact name of the traction channel you refer to?
TraxionGG 👍
Thanks Dave
Hi dave, I think you put the compressor on your voice a bit too harshly. A bit less will make your voice sound a more natural. And maybe a gate on the game audio activated by your voice could help your voice stick out a bit over the engine sound.
This was a single audio track recording, so what I could do in post was limited. Will be sorted for the next one 👍
GG Dave, great pace pal. I was on med like you, but unlike you I couldnt take care of them. Cheers
Hi Dave, do you use Real Head Motion? Rf2 feels awesome except for how the camera shakes violently on the bumps! How did you get rid of it?
In the graphics options it's lock to horizon or something similar. I have mine set to high 👍
@@davecamyt thank you!
I thought they do have tire wear in iRacing? Or is this just racing series more laps than typical iRacing series?
Do you happen to know why the AI during the race suddenly stops on the side of the track for no apparently reason? Is it because some of the cars are mods? Thank you.
Any idea and if they will be adding some evening time slot options for us USA guys? I'd like to give RF2/LFM it a proper try with the BTCC mod, but really don't want to fork out the cash for the mod if there no plans to add time slots when I can actually race, which is in the evenings Pacific Standard Time. ☹
Yeah I'm in CA and its been bleak for west coasters for a long time. I end up running a server with AI with a couple of friends due to the lack of online action.
@all rfactor2 drivers: I have the problem that some cars are only shown as a yellow polygon. So there is no skin for the car. I couldnt find something helpful with my short google research. Can someone help? How could I get these missing skins? How can I resolve the problem? Is it a problem with the LFM mods? Big thanks for helping me ;)
You need to reload the cars. Those yellow blobs have joined the server after you. You can map a button in the options 👍
@@davecamyt thank you very much Dave! I have done my first BTCC race now. It was great fun. Till then I only did two Alpine races.
Thank you for bringing me and others to rf2. But iRacing will be my sim No.1. rf2 is for in between. It's definitly an advantage when you have iRacing/Simracing experience :) ...but, I'm a tyre killer. Have to work on it, seriously *LOL*
We're iracers.... we're all tyre killers 😁
@@davecamyt word 🤣 but thought I am the only one. It's good to know there are others 😉 ... But there are aliens out there, who are tyre whisperers (don't know if I can translate that word by word from german into english 🤣... You know what I mean 😉)
I bought the basic version of the game. I don't see the championship mode in the main menu and I don't have time trial?
This looks good, but is what youve spent buying the content worth it? Ive got rfactor 2 but not the 2022 content
I've spend £102. Well worth it for me 👍
I don't remember the graphics looking so good.
I did a race in the wet too which you'll see on the Traxion RUclips channel this week. It was awesome 😁
Have you adjusted the .ini file for the forcefeedback, or are most people running it stock nowadays? Last time i checked rfactor2 out the stock file had some pretty weird settings, and some parts felt off on simucube 2.
Yep, out of the box 👍
@@davecamyt awesome, thanks for the answer dave! 👏 looks great, does it feel like that too? Rfactor2 could become the better iracing, if they sort out the bugs.
@@patrickdurka6188 it feels great tbh. I've not really played rf2 a great deal but it's such a refreshing change 👍
hello. hows the ffb compared to acc? i play in a t150 which i like in acc, but rly dislike in ac. thats why i ask
How can I make RF2 this beautiful? Is it the DLC?
Nicely done, that the standard overlay or third party ?
This is just the standard one 👍
Touring cars are the best in any sim!
Its brilliant isnt it, i love it in vr
Who is hosting these races and do you have a link?
I tried the free download &/but I can’t figure out how to setup the wheel & pedals…
the Demo is a far far far far cry from the current build. If you want to save a buck, buy the key from one of the sites which sell them at extremely low price.
Love RF2, but graphics on my G2 look like they're from the '90's, is it my settings or the sim?
Of course it is. look into the forums, many help there.
once experienced rft2 feedback then couldn't go back to other sim 😅
What is it about rFactor that you haven't wanted to run any other sims?
Tyre models, ffb and the never ending super high quality of dlc and free steam workshop mods! It’s my favourite sim of all time by a long way and now at last we can race online! Every other sim feels bland if you do a session in RF2 and then immediately run a session in another sim.
What’s the standard like, the skill spread? I am only an average racer, a grid full of aliens is a time trial for me.
At the moment there is a good mix 👍
I’ve been wanting to use my older PC as a recording/streaming dedicated PC but it seems like a nightmare. Was it a pain to set up?
Nope very straight forward 👍
Does anyone know how to fix side mirrors on this game? I know you can change the view with CTRL/ALT + arrow keys, but the side mirrors look as if they were zoomed in. 🤔
It would appear it's one of life's mysteries 😂
I've still to have a proper look. If I get it sorted I may may make a short video 👍
Note:
These settings are unique to each car livery.
So same car different livery, you have to set them up again.
Thanks guys, I know about these options, but even if I get these settings right, the mirrors seem to have some sort of zoom applied. But I'll try again tomorrow 🙂
Looked really good. I might have to give it a go….
It's great Russ. Hope you're well mate 😁
@@davecamyt Struggling with end of season blues 😂
Is the tyre model on iracing really so bad ?
do they have servers just for practice, or do you have to sign up for race?
Yes, they have a practice server 👍
@@davecamyt does it have a passwords dave
@@Cagefighter you can only join via LFM 😁
@@davecamyt ok cool, thanks for the very quick reply dave, top man!
nice race! q:
all btcc from rf2 are rwd?
no the btcc are fwd I believe.
Some cars are rwd Nd some are fwd
All cars but the Inifniti and the BMW (which isn't in the game as of now) are FWD. The two cars mentioned are RWD
video looked good👍
You should do a race in LMP2 on RF2
How does it feel compared to iracing and acc?
Better 👍
Anybody knows whether LFM on rF2 is active in North America?
I think it will be, but as it's in Beta they aren't going full beans at the moment. But, give it some time and I'm sure there will be some more servers 😀
@@danielfowler899 I love ACC but whenever I get on at night (Pacific timezone), there's little to nothing going on. So I'll be crossing my fingers for it to be different on this sim. Thanks!
