I’m glad you didn’t have a big problem on yours because on my I did I had to fix it because everything was too cramped but after 2 days I succeeded and everything works now
Had the same problem. Literally had to shave a bit off the ends of the shafts to get it to fit. Now working fantastic. Also added some oil which helped.
I'm having an utter nightmare personally, it just won't fit ;( Think I've got to shave at least 2 mil off both cogs to even stand a chance of them fitting
Great work John. Always look forward to your titanic videos. On a different note whats your thoughts on the missing yellow strip of the upper hull? Do you think that will be a decal or is it inaccurate? the prototype has it on the website and as far as I am aware it is accurate...happy to be proven wrong though!
I notice that the way the cranks are just above the outboard catwalks would render the catwalks completely unusable. On the real ship, I would imagine there was more clearance. Was this simply a necessary compromise to give the model parts enough bulk to function when in motion?
@@JohnsModelmaking someone should offer a detailed, stand alone model of one of the reciprocating engines. Don't need the whole ship. The engine alone is fascinating enough. I have always thought that it must have been positively awe inspiring to see the real thing working at full power.
I'm asking this because unfortunately my fly wheel snapped a little. The rod still goes in and spins the engine fine but the teeth on the cog came off. Do you think it will be fine ?
ça commence à devenir interessant et impressionnant😃; par contre en France nous sommes un peu en retard par rapport à nos amis anglo saxons; nous en sommes au n°33 aujourd'hui , seulement
i haven't worked on it for so long that i am like 11 issues behind.. been too busy with my disability support course. but yeah, i went to finish 36 where i was upto and now i cant find the EM screws. its been so long that they went for a walk somewhere. i'm not even mad. usually i have to replace something because i broke it. but this time i misplaced them, now i cant find them. Lol
Help iam stuck putting together the engines the main pistons are ok but I can’t get the other ones the work they keep bending and sticking have stripped it down but it’s still doing it what I’m doing wrong
Was definitely happy finally getting the Engines securely fixed down.
Thanks for watching 👀 🙂

I'm glad you sorted it out. Thanks for watching 👀 🙂
Had the same problem. Literally had to shave a bit off the ends of the shafts to get it to fit. Now working fantastic. Also added some oil which helped.
I believe its a common fault. Thanks for watching 👀 🙂

I have asked Hachette and they said the model will be accurate. It will probably be a decal. Thanks for watching 👀 🙂
Great vid 💞💞🙏🙏🍺👍👍
Thanks Eddy 😃

Yes, I noticed that myself and I assume so as it's a model.

Hi I missed issue 34 as tesco didn't have it when delivery came in do I still need that issue to proceed to further issues
Yes. Thanks for watching 👀 🙂
@@JohnsModelmaking thanks ill just need to order issue 34 from the website
😃👍
Top top top
Thank you 😊
Do you think the fly wheel has a purpose? Apart from the metal rod going in it to spin the engines?
No that is its purpose for this model. Thanks for watching 👀 🙂
@@JohnsModelmaking So what do you think the motor will connect to to make the engines and props to spin. ? Thanks
I'm asking this because unfortunately my fly wheel snapped a little. The rod still goes in and spins the engine fine but the teeth on the cog came off. Do you think it will be fine ?
@@EverythingTitanic A motor will be supplied (issue 37) and may be used to rotate the pistons and propellers, but that is a guess.
@@EverythingTitanic Yes should be ok but you could order a replacement just for the cosmetic look.

Thanks for watching 😀No more issues for another month so you will be all caught up!

Hi, If the main pistons are ok check the instructions for the shaft and the crankshaft and make sure they are the correct way round.
