a lone scav stared at a PMC calmly, both of their weapons trained on eachother, but neither shot, a... unforseen peace between the two factions.
"Why didnt you shoot me?" asked the PMC.
"why should i?" asked the scav. "all this unnessasary death and destruction is futile in the end, all i am here is to get a few items for fence... if you know who that is..."
the pmc looked around. "wheres your brothers?"
"dead most likely... a few others fought a heavily armored BEAR but... died in the proccess... i feel like im the last to remain here."
the PMC looked worried.
"worry not my friend, we are safe... for the meantime... i hear no one but me and you so far, so we should be safe."
the PMC sighed with realef. "why dont you get out of here?" the PMC asked.
"why dont you?" the scav retorted.
"im here trying to escape..." the PMC said with worry.
"escape from where?" the scav said with a confused look.
"tarkov of course! where else??" the pmc said, looking a bit worried and checked his suroundings.
the scav laughed
"many people want to escape from tarkov my friend,
everyone does, but we choose not to for one reason...
this is where we belong, dispite our longing for the outside world we know we wont fit in there.

this was on my reccomended, but honestly i truely believe a majority of people wont escape tarkov, when perma death is added, it will be so heart wrenching to play for day/week/months with the boys then have one of them die permantly and slowly and slowly lose your squad so to speak.

My headcanon is that 90% of the PMCs, already being people who fight for lots of money as a career, want to stay because they can do that except more money and more fighting, and no bosses. And like the whole world is just in shock that no one is leaving despite all the UN help, they think everyone must be too scared to move or dead but really everyone just killing each other for computer parts and high-end guns lol
