First one reminds me of a weapon from Runescape. Full-fledged vampires in Runescape appear to be immune to damage, and the game's explanation for this is that they have a low level of precognition that allows them to avoid any attack. The solution? Apparently it was to put a silver sickle at the end of a chain anchored to a staff. The resultant weapon being so unpredictable, not even the wielder will know what it's going to do, thus the vampire is unable to predict its path.

Obviously you need to combine the best features of all the designs: 2.5 metres of wooden haft, then 1.5 metres of double-bit axe heads linked together with one-axis hinges, not chain links, to maintain edge alignment. Have steel armour on the haft so they con't cut into it, and flare the base of the armour out to keep your hands down on the "far enough from the top" part so the axes don't cut into those either. Also, hire someone to carry it for you when you're not swinging it.

Funnily enough, I did hear a story about a rocket propelled ax.
That said it was something the guy who told me (who'd served in Iraq) was skeptical of.
Supposedly an RPG-7 was found after an engagement or captured of an insurgent and someone tried to make thicket clearing quicker with it, by loading the RPG launcher with a felling ax and firing it out the RPG launcher at the thicket they were trying to clear.
I wasn't sure if that's possible since I thought RPGs don't fire without the ignition charge in the warhead and so there'd be nothing to launch the felling ax with.

Uh, *yeah* , the spring powering is a really *bad* idea; I actually have a similar concept that I was planning on making a player weapon option in my TTRPG system I'm writing, but the *big* difference is that it'd just be a specially shaped metal *cleat* that'd be either fitted over a *sturdy boot* , or if it *was* fitted to the bare feet, would go *around* the toes before tapering into a sharp edge a decent ways out *ahead* of the toes and heel, and would have a decently thick layer of *sponge* covered with a layer of cushiony fabric attached to the inside to cushion the impact to keep one from breaking their toes when they hit a target; hence my calling them *Cleat-axes* . There'd be absolutely *no* mechanical assistance so that they can't hit *any* harder than the wielder can throw a kick on their own, which reduces the likelihood of breaking any foot bones even *more*
One of my two inspirations for the idea was the Grieve Edge weapon that CaS characters can wield in Soulcalibur III; I wanted to come up with a *realistically functional* version of that type of weapon because there's a number of kicking oriented martial arts that I honestly think a weapon like that would *really* work for!

Left side for left foot, right side for the right foot. Kicks would be either sweeping, to cut with the side blades, or heel/toe kicks to pierce with. A heel dropkick with a thick but short spike at point of impact could probably cause some decent damage, I wager.

Okay so funny axe in toes story time :
My company was at a reenactement fest, one of our members went to chop some wood for the meal and her boyfriend interrupted her when he saw she was doing it wrong with her legs right in the path of a stray hit. His words were "Be careful honey, you're gonna hurt yourself !" (famous last words)
He was a forester and knew how to cut wood so he took charge of the wood chopping. He was also a very manly man, as you might have guessed.
Anyway we didn't even have time to go back to our drinks that we heard him say "Oh no I think I've cut my shoes."
Turns out he didn't just cut his shoes but the axe went straight into his feet.
Once we were sure he was fine I can assure you we never let him forget that, it was way too hilarious

The centrifugal makes the rope stiff and ensures a proper hit. Shocking to hear that this could be untrue. Good thing I never had enough confindence in my axe swinging skills to actually try it.

I was on a job site I used to do concrete foundations, and sometimes for a little while you'll put 2 ft verts into the footing for the uprights before you pour the wall area of the wall area of the foundation. We had finished and we're on our way to break and he stepped over one of the the vertical pieces of rebar it caught his pant leg and it went up his butt and punctured his bladder . So when you fall on things they can find a way up your butt. I seen it with my own two eyeballs.
