My name is Edward Deyon and I was the Lone tenor for the 1983 Anaheim Kingsmen. I am 55 years old now. so I was really young then. and I only had a drum instructor for the beginning of the season, then I had to learn and work hard myself. The corps almost folded but we wanted to compete

Wow, I have not hear this show in years. This was my first time marching Drum Corps. I played euphonium back in the day. The next year I marched with the Velvet Knights and had a blast. Thanks for posting the memories.

Summer of '83 in Miami Beach. Drum Major-Greg Rotchford. What's bizarre is that I remember very little of this show. I do remember Rocco instructing us, and I remember the Florida humidity.

I meant Rocco when he played tenor drum in the New Rochelle Wanderers. I was good friends with John Sasso and, o r u s Cavanaugh. We were in the sun rises at the time, and John asked me if I'd like to go up to the rehearsal, and I did. years later Rocco was in the New York Skyliners, I believe he worked with the Crosman as well❤❤

@@americanspirit8932 I do not think this is the same Rocco, Richard Oliverio. Rocco that I know was a trumpet player out of the Marine Corps who was the Horn instructor then Director. He never mentioned he worked for the Crossmen or he marched Skyliners.
