Between yourself and Jason and Steve LLoyd making those dry and wet plate holders and also Jeff Perry at 20th Century Camera with his multi-format 4x5 holders, there is such a spirit of renewal in these historic formats and processes. It's a great time to be an analog photographers who wants just a little bit more experimentation in their photography. It's fantastic that there is friendly competition among the vendors. It can only benefit everyone in the end.

Excellent to hear you guys are collaborating across the world.
That self timer will work perfectly with an older style release cable. I have a drawer full of them as I keep getting them when I buy old cameras for restoration.
Let me know if you want me to pop one in the post.

    Hi Nejc,
Thanks for your videos. Because of you I finally started photographing with dry plates. I coat them with Foma emulsion. I have also been a subscriber to Borut peterlin channel for years but wet plate is not feasible for me.
About the autoknips self-timer. I've tried them too. But with little success. The antique cable releases that fit are very brittle and the tension can easily tear them. I already destroyed 3 that way. Now I have rescued a rimset compur shutter with built-in self timer from a beaten up Vöigtlander avus. I use if I want to be in the family photo myself.
    Greetings, Wilma from Holland

You get thin cable releases that works with the Autoknips ii. I have the same model and managed to get a cable release that fits the timer trigger and works.

Hello from Vermont to Slovenia! It's always good to hear from your part of the world! You are very helpful - you show us things and we say, "I could do that!" or "I can't do that because I'm not a hard-working photo genius in Slovenia." Have a safe and interesting year. ☺

I need to check if my Autoknips can also be used with a normal cable release, I thought it needed a special one that would screw on the end. I have a ton of cable releases so I hope at least one will fit.

There are different models some of them can be screwed directly to the lens itself...
