About Me:
My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first RUclips channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!

OMG! So incredibly sweet how Ligaya snuggles on your shoulder and rubs up against your cheek. She is a sweet bird for sure! Like most intelligent animals, she can feel your mood. She knew you were happy to see her, and she reciprocated. Great reunion👍I live in California, so I think the tropics would be difficult to handle due to the high humidity, but definitely a place I would love to visit one day. Canada is the only other country I have ever been to. Welcome back guys! Great job capturing your time on the road!

I live right on top of the arctic circle, and I love it here. Yes, our winters are long and dark and cold, but when summer arrives we get to keep the sun all night and day! When I was a kid, it was so great during the summer vacation, because my mother would sometimes let me stay outside and play until 11! And we would get to put up tents in the garden and sleep outside, and we'd stay up to look at the midnight sun. We have no snakes, we have no dangerous bugs (unless you count ticks, and we only have a few of them), and I have never seen a spider with a body larger than a pea. I would not survive in the tropics for more than 2 weeks at most.
The thing is, people here suffer from winter depressions quite a lot, and I love that I can watch you and Ligaya go on sunny walks when I'm knee deep in snow, and the darkness surrounds me. Sunny, grassy areas in video games gives me that feeling too, and I think it has to do with how emotionally involved I get with what's on the screen, because I don't feel this way about every sunny video I see.
So happy to see you and Ligaya reunited!

I love watching your videos Mikey. I have a 25 year old Grey which I got from chick like you got Liguaya. My Punky is now very sick because of what u explained in ur video today. When I divorced Punky went w my xhusband. She lived w him for about 10 years. I found out he was keeping her in his basement and giving her no attention. I got her back 2 years as. Now she’s getting the love and attention she deserves (even though she doesn’t like me 😩). I recently took her to the vet because she was shivering and limping. After blood work and an exam my Punky has extremely low levels of calcium and a lump on her little thigh. I’m devastated and so angry at how someone could treat a pet the way she was treated. I’m doing everything the vet has recommended for Punky. We’re not sure how to deal with her cyst because she may not have enough skin to close the incision once they remove it. She got another appt w her vet this week and I’m hoping her calcium levels have increased. You’re vlog today really touched me. You love and care for your baby as ppl should when they take on pets into their family. OMG such a long post. Sorry but I want ppl to understand how important diet, environment and love is for these beautiful parrots.

Lagia has such beautiful grey eyes when she is out in the sun. 😍 I live on the Gold Coast Australia and we have high humidity. Everyone else loves it but I was born in Ireland so I like it cool and fresh.

Listening to Ligaya make all those random noises reminds me of my cat because she makes some pretty random sounds although not as complex as a parrot hahaha.

I love how deep her sounds are, unlike the unfortunate whistle Mikey taught her during recall training! Haha, it does make me giggle, but her meows and her clucking are the cutest sounds.

Hey Mikey ... I was born in the Philippines but my family moved to Canada when I was a child. If I were to move back, I would miss the four seasons here ... especially the fall and winter. I've come home a couple of times but I can't take the heat, humidity and traffic. Je suis Canadien ... In my heart, I will always be Pinoy.

I probably would not live in the tropics but go there for holidays. I would look like a cooked lobster if I was in that sun for too long and I would miss the snow. In Sweden we are happy if we get a temp of 25 celsius in the summer for some days. In 2018 was one of the hottest year with over 30 celsius for weeks and thanks to that we had a lot of forest fires. Have never seen the grass that yellow before in my life. Happy new year everybody!!!

If you going to visit Sweden you should go to the north of Dalarna and see the amazing enviroment and the tree less mountain tops. And if you are lucky can see some raindeers. You can hike almost everywhere in Sweden and we call it Allemansrätten. Just take care of the place where you been to and dont throw garbage in the nature. In the winter there is amazing ski resort in Sälen (fjällen) mountains.

Awwww! Ligaya’s reaction was the best when she saw you walk through the door. She shook her tail feathers so much! So cute! And I agree with you Kuya Mikey, my skin also does so much better in tropical climates. I live in Winnipeg where it can get SUPER cold and my skin doesn’t like it :(.

I live in SC in the US which is semi-tropical and can be brutally hot in the summer. Of course I spent my first several years of life in the Philippines. I loved it... but honestly the one thing I worry about as far as moving back to the Philippines to retire is how super hot it can be at times. I also lived in the high arctic of Alaska for 8 years and I know my body actually likes and tolerates cold more than hot. Also I have Scot Irish DNA and I'm very fair w/freckles & red hair and burn easily. When I was little we would visit the higher elevations in the Philippines which were cooler... but I don't know how that would be for a ex-pat retirement... What do you think Mikey and others here that are from the Philippines?
Oh lots of expats in Baguio! The highlands have great weather but tbh you eventually get used to the heat of Manila. You just need air conditioning during the hottest months.
@@MikeyBustosVLOGS My mom Baguio and always talked about it. I just remember going to a terraced garden there and the gardener teaching me a little dance I can still do!
Baguio or the nearer Tagaytay city would be good choices. Tagaytay is nearer the Metro if you still want to be nearer modern amenities. Baguio is still like 5-10 years backwards, which is cool too!
I'd prefer tagaytay too. Closer to the city

I grew up in So Cal but currently live in the Denver, Co area. Today the high will be 18° farenheit. I don't like it! I only feel at home in the warm tropical areas. I hope to someday visit the Philippines. I had a wonderful friend who was from there and she taught me so much about your culture. I miss her dearly and watching your vlog brings me closer to her memory. So sweet how Ligaya loves you and missed you.

Brian Robinson. I get so cold thinking about it. It's currently 8° Celsius here in San Diego and we are freezing. I don't even want to imagine -31° Celsius.
@@MetungKP It is not so bad for thus winter. Overall rather mild. Even this week we will be up in the upper 30s F. We usually get a 2 Or 3 week stretch in January and into February that highs will be below 0 and lows can be 25 to 50 below F for the stretch. So I'm happy so far.
