As a former Stagehand that worked for many years assembling various concerts, I would say Mr Billy Gibbons was the most amazing and personable performer I ever met. I have done 7 shows for him. Every time he not only came down to thank the crew , he personally acknowledged me in every show we pulled together. He even went so far as to inform the company I was working for that he would replace them if I wasn't on his calls.
God Bless Billy Gibbons.

Met him in a deli in Manhattan in 2001, I didn’t want to bother him but by coincidence I had read in the paper that morning that it was his birthday so I said “Hey ZZ Top, Happy Birthday” and he beamed “aw thanks maaan!” I think he expected me to ask for his autograph but I left him alone. I was behind him in line and he bought a shit ton of water to bring back to the W hotel. Paid with a Amex gold card and said good night to me as he walked out. That was my celebrity brush with greatness (old Late Night fans know this needs some writers embellishment)
Unbeknownst to me, Billy was actually buying the waters to drown a giant rat that had crawled out of the toilet and taken over his room. Later that evening as I was walking over by the hotel a huge lifeless rat struck me in the head and knocked me to the ground. Looking up I saw Billy standing on a 5th floor balcony leering at me like a lunatic. With a maniacal grin he shook his fist and screamed, "And a happy birthday to you too skippy!!!"
They should consider making a Billy signature with that striping.

My dentist went to school with Billy Gibbons and showed up at his office during my visit......my dentist had me answer the door and what a rush...Billy G!! We had been talking about him for a year and he thought it would be cool if Billy came to visit and pick up his new gold grill for his teeth.....awesome day.....I didn't even care how much he charged me for my visit. Billy is REALLY laid back folks....Mr. Cool.....btw...Jimi Hendrix said Billy Gibbons was the best blues guitarist he'd ever heard....what an endorsement.

This turned up in my recommendations, wasn't sure what to expect before watching, but was really fascinated by the juxtaposition of focus and liberty on display with that marker. Loved it.

Billy G is the man. Just saw zz top 3rd row a few weeks ago. Just great. Now, I just bought a stripe kit and even after practicing for a few days now, it is apparent Mr. Gibbons is a pro at this art form.

ZZ Top played at the local casino I live near by. My mom had worked there since I was about ten & they happened to want to eat at one of the restaurants in the casino & of course my mom was their waitress. She got me an autograph on a small napkin. I’m glad she did, because i’m a huge fan now

Awesome!!.. Back in 2015, tried that with the singer of “Big Mountain”, Quino, to autograph my guitar. He was a lil drunk and spelled my name wrong. The guitar was a $2000 Stratocaster. He felt bad and apologized... Turns out he lived in the same town and we became friends. Now we have a funny story to tell, “the autograph story”... Yup, I still have the guitar.

I was sitting in Dick Dale’s living room with my Strat. He went and got his gold Beast Strat, and handed it to me as I handed mine to him. We each turned them upside down and played for an hour. Just my wife witnessed this as my boys were playing with his son in the other room. Then he signed my Strat. RIP Dick!🙏🙏

I met him back in 1996 while working in a shop in Covent Garden. Very nice kind gentleman. Very open. Willing to take the time to talk to me about music and life.

Billy Gibbons is the man. How many guitars has he signed in his career? A true gent, takes the time to create yet another priceless Les Paul for a fan. One of the best concerts I’ll ever see live is ZZ Top.
I saw ZZ TOP at the Spectrum in Philadelphia . At that time 3 bands played. They were number 2 on the roster. Dave Mason was the headliner, I think. Anyway ZZ TOP were so good that people started leaving when Dave Mason came on. TRES HOMBRES was the album they were promoting. I think it was 1977
