I am not a scientist but this is one way I chose to give glory to god. Science and religion do not have to be at odds with one another. In this way you have created another war by introducing the idea that you have to chose a side. Anyways, I am thankful that God allowed me to be able to witness such a great collaboration and image in my lifetime. On Monday July 1st 2019 at 6:57 PM a sum of 512 conspiracy theorists and guys who like to get angry about things they don't understand (= Dunning Kruger effect) dislikes this great documentary about one of the greatest achievements of man(kind). 😞
Luckily it has more than 18.000 likes which speaks for the intellectual capabilities among the 838,222 viewers as of the same date and time I already mentioned. 😏
    In other words:
Thanks European Southern Observatory (ESO) RUclips channel to put up this great short documentary.
    And a list of questions:
To all the conspiracy theorists and guys (and gals) who spread anger and false theories, playing the enlightened ones without understanding how science actually works.
    - Do you want to feel like a Neo from Matrix, albeit a Neo falling for false mentors?
    - Why do you who refuse to understand the way modern science should be presented, likes to get angry instead of using this by now wasted energy to understand what you see?
    - Why don't you pay attention to the explanations in this video and learn by carefully listening what is explanatory computer animations and what's the actual pictures? Especially when one thinks that I as a German to whom English is the second language understood the overall picture and when was shown what, this should especially tell native English speakers something about their attention span.
    - Why do you accuse NASA of lying but fully ignoring that this documentary was hosted by a part of the European space programm and observation.
    - Why do you feel the need to spit out hatred and distrust on true authorities on science and research who earned their reputation (almost on par with the ancient Roman concept of Auctoritas) by learning for decades of their lives.
    - Can it be that you're against Einsteins discoveries because he is of a certain religion antisemites hates?
    - Can it be that you're against this video just because you're against women doing science stuff thus being misogynist?
    - Why do you conspiracy theorists and anti-science guys are so prone to use strong and violent language?
    - Aren't you eloquent enough to ask your questions or state your opinions in a polite and cultivated grown up manner?
Well, just asking questions here. 🤔
    And a call for:
    - Being proud to be a member of a species which has the ability to observe things so far away, a species which learned to overcome its natural limitation by ingenuity and intellect trumping over feelings and a backwater thinking.
    - Being proud that so manny people choses to cooperate to achieve a greater goal, to overcome old fashioned hate and mutual prejudices.
    - Being proud that they overcame all the diverse issues and problems by sheer will and cleverness.
    - Being aware that we live in such a great time of new discoveries, knowledge. Well, we might not colonize new continents anymore, but we can "conquer" worlds millions of light years away.
    - Being aware that we now live in a world full of knowledge, achievements, technology our ancestors 100 years ago would have considered a strange sureal fantasy, not even respected as science fiction anymore.
So, again, thank you European Southern Observatory (ESO) RUclips channel for putting up this great video. 🤗

First of all, a great discovery & congratulations to everyone who believes in the possibilities of science. Now, having said that, my question would not be why the image appears fuzzy (I know the problem scientifically). But my question is: When a Blackhole is known to gulp any matter in a lightning fast speed & nothing could reflect out of it, why & what stands & shine at the event horizon? Moreover, the jet streams that are thrown out of a black hole, how do they get out of it with such speed & length?

So i have a question that i dont know who i could ask so im asking here and maybe someone can answer it to me!
When we observe something in the universe we see a picture of the past form of it, so if something is really far away, for example 55 million light years away, then we see how it was 55 million years ago. But if this object has a course that's coming straight at us, this would mean that in reallity, now this object is really much closer to us than it was 55 million years ago. But wouldn't that mean that it would be easier to watch it now that's its closer, so now it would be for example 30 million light years away. But again you are wathcing something of the past, so now it could be even closer , so what do you really see if the object is coming right at you?
Well, thinking of it again, i think i just answered my own question. The universe is always expanding, so objects, in that distance at least, would never be able to come towards us, so you only see them getting further away?
Anyway, if you read the whole thing, just leave your ideas below :)

    • @celefin6494
      @celefin6494 5 лет назад +1

There's a fairly easy way to determine if a light source is moving away from or towards to. Due to the Doppler Effect, light from a source moving away from you is red-shifted since the light's wavelength is 'stretched'. Long wavelengths are in the red spectrum.
When it's moving towards you it's blue-shifted, because the wavelength appears compressed. Short wavelengths are in the blue spectrum. The amount of 'shifting' can be used to determine the current position. But don't ask me about the math involved ;)
