You mentioned the RHEM games in shadyparadox's stream of Myst IV recently, and while I did find the other three on Steam, I did not find this game there at all (I have yet to purchase any of them since I'd like the whole set if I get any at all, and as of now, I have only enough money on my account for two games at most, unless I wait for this year's holiday season for a possible discount sale). And since you say here that it's your favorite, well, then it's an absolute must-have in my book. Is there any other place I can acquire this particular game?
In my game, you don't have to press the buttons every time you used the lamps room, just the first time you used each door, which is not really all that bad. Maybe it was updated in the Special Edition?
In retrospect, for myself, I wish I wouldn't have played these games all so quickly over last winter. I wish I spread them apart more to savor it better. But I'm glad to see you doing them. These area really my favorite type of games. I think the visual actor is the same but with a different voice actor; his hair is not as neat but I think it's still him. Idk I could be wrong. Anyway I liked the music for the most part but it and the sounds sounded a little quiet in your video imo. Could you turn it up? I miss the old sorry noise from RHEM1 btw. 14:20 -- I thought the same thing! 8:14 -- I never knew you could look up there!
i wish i could hear the game.... when they speak its so soft its like whispering then when you speak its blowing out my speakers and making them pop and hurting my ears... wish you would redo these and fix that
I played this only because Circuit City went out of business in 2009 and this game was one of a handful of products sitting by the door. Quite telling... Has anyone here played Myst? Riven? After I immersed in those, I got extremely angry that THIS game existed. You guys seem to enjoy this game though...why??? To me, this game is an insult. Please tell me what I'm missing because the only enjoyment I got after the crap tram ride, the eunuch asking for paper, and opening endless doors to nowhere was to take the brand new disk out to zip it across my room. THAT was fun.
Myst for story and aesthetic. Rhem for density and difficulty. Well Myst reached about medium sometimes. I find Rhem feels more like Submachine than Myst actually.
