And Now !!!! Brought to you from the Ohio River😜😎😜🎣🎣🎣 I’ve been a Shimano guy for life, (50+ years) and have over a dozen Shimano, GLoomis, and Poison Adrena rods, and I’ve never owned a Steez but, I do own a couple of Daiwa rods that are very impressive and I will keep them forever. I did order a few Edge Rods by Gary Loomis and one is my EFX Pro 738C which is a great rod and they say it is good for frogs, but the tip is not for walking ( far more moderate action) and I think I will try to find a used Steez😂 or when the sale season starts I’ll be adding the Expride, which has been recommended by several Pros, and of course ALFC my go to for the best of the best 👏👏👏👍👍👍
I really like these videos just wish it’s not the same handful of rod manufacturers. I hope in the future there are more rods. A rod line you should look at is the Falcon Lowrider line I think that’s one of the best line rods for the money.
@@RyanSmith-fb8rf yea I feel like Falcon gets overlooked. People in Oklahoma and Missouri I think know about them because Oklahoma is where they are head quartered and a lot of pros from Oklahoma use them but not much talk about them.
i have a Dobyns Colt series in 7' heavy and i fish from the bank as much as boat and it has served me well it is stiff but not as stiff as other heavy action rods i love it , i have been wanting to feel the new Dobyns i think they make a premium rod at a great price , for frogging
dobyns ratings are a bit softer than the industry standard which helps in some cases like frog fishing, where u can have a heavier rod with a much softer tip! Dobyns has some quality rods at a very inexpensive price point!
For a frog rod around that price range, the expride 7'3XH is leaps and bounds better. Really at any price point that particular Expride is hard to beat.
the technology they put into them, the AGS (air guide system) are minnium 150 for the entire guide train, the blank is super light almost on the level of NRX light in terms of weight. It can be very hard at times to justify the cost of a rod or reel. I have owned everything from 100-550 for rods and reels. There is a difference in performance for sure. Enough to buy one over the other? Maybe maybe not.
7'2" power pitch is a also a super sensitive phenomenal frog rod, Sensitivity is not needed for frogs but those AGS guides make the blank so light and it makes it a pleasure to fish and fight fish on. I paid $320 delivered from The hook up tackle it was new with tags.

Love my 7’4 heavy cover special 🔥
The new x10 swamp survivor is pretty legit as well, but the Expride and HC Special and 7'9" Steez are unbeatable.
Gotta get one of those microphones to clip on your shirt to get a little better audio, but loving the content from ALFC!
we are on it!

We will try our best to cover as many different rod companies as possible while still giving the best recommendations!
I have the Falcon Cara 6-174 heavy cover jig rod and I reach for it over my Exprides. It’s a phenomenal rod and the Lowrider line is excellent as well

Is it worth the upgrade to go to the Expride B 7’3 EH. I have the A and I love it but been considering the B
Not for a frog rod. A works perfectly fine
Expired B…glued on carbon rear grip. That’s the only difference.
keep the A, there isn't enough difference.
I actually like my A better than the B

What about the loomis IMX frog rod?

Dobyns dc 735 no comparison!
550$ hellllll nawwwwww . What on earth makes it that good

You don’t need a $550 rod for frogs. It’s my least sensitive rod
