The host tried to lift his spirits, but Koy kept blaming himself saying that he was proud of the opportunity, but the room was tough. I liked what he was trying to do. He was so excited to be there, but the critics had their knives out. I especially hated Taylor Swift's response to his NFL joke. It was a nasty look, and the Swifties cult jumped on him. She should have laughed it off. I haven't heard if she apologized to him for her fans' overreaction. Some of the criticism was racially tinged because Koy is Filipino, as though only White people are allowed to host award shows. Trevor Noah had the same problem when he first hosted the Grammys.
