I personally love Pau’s progressive play and it’s true that Mings does not have that in his locker but I also think that Mings is a far better defender and I think we miss the elements that Mings bought, I’m really am confused about what we need, but being that a defenders main role is to defend I really would like Mings back in the team, after all it is only one extra pass to midfielder who can release a forward as well as Pau can so… idk 🤷🏻♂️ all I know is if Mings is fit I feel I’d want him back in the team, Pau looks frail defensively to me!, we did look more solid at the back when Mings featured imo, we miss his dominance in the air and strength in general. COULD it be that we play Pau in games we expect to dominate and Mings against the top teams? UTV
Agree with everything you say. Pau is a fantastic footballer and he without doubt helps us progress the ball into final third but defensively there are times he is left a little bit short. In a ideal world if Ming's comes back and plays like he did in Emery s first season then we try and fit in with all three centre backs and two wing backs. From when Emery took over so many crosses into the box were like a magnet to Ming's. Yes capable of a mistake people will say but you can say that about all players particularly with the playing out from the back. I do believe if Ming's plays in with Konsa and Pau at back we won't conceed as many goals.

I'm not feeling it at all this season, I can't see anything better than 7th to 10th. Some of the signings are baffling to me, Iling Jr and the other Juventus player? Was we forced to sign them? No striker signed, a bad injury to Watkins and we're screwed
As things stand I think we’re short and so far in this window we haven’t done enough considering at the level we are at this season competing in the Champions League. We haven’t replaced Diaby, what happens if Watkins gets injured….got away with it last season ? ! Need another Striker,Attacker ! Defence concerns me , as we are we will concede too many. Need another quick solid Centre Back. Still think we need a much better back up Keeper Olsen would worry me and Gauci probably not ready yet. As we are without sounding too negative I don’t see us finishing Top 6 this season.

As much as I love the kids they don’t compare to being in Rotterdam and winning, the wife knows it as well, kids come and go but that will never happen in my lifetime realistically again 🫶 let’s get top six and that will be a good season and IF we can get that bloody FA cup before I die to complete the set I’ll be happy 🙏

I just believe in Unai and have faith he will smash it, he’s an elite coach and we perform again this season and be consistent throughout UTV
