I have this, in fact I just finished it, and it's even better in person.
This is a crazy build, I just did this with my kids, took us half the day!!
I just got this set - can't wait to build it.
Can't afford a real T1 so at least I have this one ;-)
I just noticed it seems to have a handle thingy at the back you use to crank up the engine. A nice touch! I love the detail in this build and I hope to get one soon.

It would have been a comment we could build a conversation on but you had to be rude in your first and last sentence... Whatever, the point of my comment was, that it is sad to have a lego model but because of the numbered bags you can finish the build in a very short period of time. And I mean the building part is the reason why someone buys a lego model.
The lego model of the Slave I is beautiful because it got the shape of the actual ship so perfectly although it's out of lego.

When I get this, usually the first thing I do after is trick this out Mad Max style with thunder sticks and skulls, and shiny and chrome knockoff pieces.

My dad got this set for free from Volkswagen because his car had been hit by another car and Volkswagen failed to repair his car 4 times, even if it just was some paint that was scraped of and a cracked bumper. Basically they felt bad for not repairing his car correctly and gave him this set.

Why do they do that thing where they just lump the pieces together by putting a completely arbitrary selection of bricks in every bag. No order or system at all.
It drives me mad but secretly I love it as it just means an extra couple of hours of fun sorting the pieces and hunting for the individual bits you need on every page.
