    After watching the full podcast, I used this cue on just normal benching this week, and noticed a huge improvement. Thank you!

    One thing massive benchers have in common is massive forearms and thickness around the elbow.

    Jimmy kolb is so young and shows us things we have never seen. I can't wait to try this in my training. His arms look 25 inches of tricep. He is the best an most knowledgeable bencher in the world 🌎

    Nice. Whenever I do block or board presses my cue to myself is always to lock the elbows out. This makes a little more sense and I look forward to using it in my bench training.

    so....do the same shit right off the chest too? Why was this specifically a board press? honest question.

    • @BakerBinary
      @BakerBinary Год назад +2

      Probably because this is exercise is specifically to correct something that has to do with lockout/triceps. At the bottom the pecs and shoulders do most of the moving and the weakpoint usually isn't the triceps during the bottom part.

  • @StandGroundGunsOut
    @StandGroundGunsOut Год назад +2

    Sure u can take this advise if you're a geared competitive lifter using bench press suits and all that, yet talking about a recreational or a raw lifter it makes no sense to me to advise to focus and start pressing from the triceps at the bottom of the press. Shouldn't most lifters simply focus on engaging their pecs more? Please explain me would u advise to press more tricep dominant over a 'raw lifters' pec dominant press?

    • @donsteggall5170
      @donsteggall5170 Год назад +5

      I think most raw or geared don't fail right off their chest but where Jimmy had the boards and up and most people would agree...from what I seen Julius Maddox didn't fail off his chest on his 800 attempt

    • @calebcochrane
      @calebcochrane Год назад +6

      I feel like a lot of raw benchers (which I am too) immediately disregard any cues an equip lifter gives on tricep drive in bench to their detriment. Then parrot the same thing about needing it to be pec dominant because they are raw, without ever putting in honest effort into building the triceps "for pressing", look at Eric Spoto's arms your gonna tell me he's not using a massive amount of tricep for benching. It's correct that it might not have as much carry over, but I think it's a largely untapped area for a lot of raw benchers.
