This set is copyrighted 2010 but showed up in 2015 on the Kohl's website.
I have been a fan of downhill racing for over 15 years. I wanted to test this track set to see how well it really worked. These sets are great for kids to do racing competitions with their collection of Monster Jam trucks. They do not require batteries and the kids can race their toy trucks over and over again.
My set included these Monster Trucks even though the website showed Instigator, Grave Digger, and Maniac.

I had this as a kid and it brings back so many memories because this was my favorite toy!

Hello Racegrooves!I want to ask you something.I have five monster jam trucks-Hot Wheels Firestorm with the spoiler and dual cab,Grave Digger 4 time champion bad to the bone version,Blue Thunder the sky blue version,Xtermigator and Higher Education.Only 1 of them have the letter J09-Team Hot Wheels Firestorm.The other have:Grave Digger-H51,Blue Thunder-G43,Xtermigator-H40 and Higher Education-again H51.I don't understand which year they are produced.So I decided to ask you for that.Last thing-my favourite trucks are Team Hot Wheels Firestorm and Grave Digger.I will be very happy if you tell me.☺

I have a few trucks myself one is a older one maybe not Hot Wheels it is a USA 1 truck I also got the HW Bigfoot with the changeable trires from a number of years ago even with the Bigfot 5 tires wish I had those cool foil cars that looked like actual cars

I have the exact same set and the lane with the tires NEVER wins!!!! The trucks tires and get stuck on the tires on the track while the Lane with the proceeds smoothly downward. this is why the lane with the tires doesn't win.

also seeing as racegrooves is doing monster trucks will we see any of the goo sets? i got one that was like that had a brown base with a ramp then on top of the ramp was a tank with green goo in it, at the end was a motor home (well only 1 part other part missing) which when hit would pop up

I got a red monster truck in it is Grave Digger is it will go check a far and I want you to do it and race all your cards with it
the race is unfair because one side is different to the other and one side is more bumpy so its really unfair the sides should both be the same

+monsterjambrony Well, H stood for 2015 and G was 2014. H23 means that it was produced/manufactured the 23rd week of 2015. We should start seeing the next letter for 2016 any day now. I suspect that it will be J because Mattel tends to skip the I and the O because they get confused with the number 1 (one) and 0 (zero).

The red Grave Digger was the first Grave Digger ever made, so it is a real Grave Digger.
Race Grooves, My Monster Mutt Said L04, so when was it made, and what does L stand for? Please tell me
L04. The L means that it was manufactured in 2018 and the number is the week of the year. Therefore, your Monster Mutt was manufactured during the 4th week of this year. K was 2017 and so on. However, Mattel skips letters I and O because they get confused with the number one and zero.

here we go...just watched another race grooves vid with my 3yr old. ") Thanks again. I noticed your Grave digger "the one with the wobble problem..FYI ..in the end when you show Grave Digger you can see where the tire was of the rim a bit. After playing around with these things for a few weeks now Ive noticed they all do it. the tires become unseated and they wobble..however ...you can pull the tire (from wheel well out) while your thumb holds the rim from moving ever so gently , they straighten back up. It takes a little time to do before we play around but its worth it. BTW the 1/24 models o not have that problem thankfully.. I understand you dont collect those but I thought Id put it out there. We're looking forward to you next video.Thanks
+James Smith thanks for the tip. I will be doing more racing in the near future and I will be keeping an eye out for the rubber coming off the hub. As for the large-scale, I have a pile of those too. I just haven't shown them yet :)
+RaceGrooves Speaking of the 1/24's....Is there anything available in the playset or track market for these things? I cant find any...I see some people using corrugated material that seems to work pretty well.
RE: "Faster the dragster" I know you can put together two lanes of the 1/64 track but it doesn't work so well given the big tires. You seem to have an inside knowledge of HW...DO you think they will be making any in the future? Thanks for the reply...you have a good day sir.

This track is too short to enjoy it. Lots of kids are making racing vids with it and I find their vids are boring. Maybe with quality slow motion it might be fun to watch but it just seems like trucks falling off a counter. And u are so right about the transition. That's why I really enjoyed the WALKER INVITATIONAL custom monster jam track for some real racing!!! This little plastic track is gimmicky to me. Thanks for another great review! Looking forward to the real deal custom monster track you built!!!
FRANKSKIDS this is a nice set for home use. You will see it again on my channel but I will have to keep the specifics secret until then :)

FRANKSKIDS I agree. It needs a jump at the end of the ramps or something to smash through like a brick wall. Some flags on the side of the track would be nice as well.
I feel like the SUS is good because it encourages viewer participation. Just because it gets views doesn't mean it's good quality racing though. I want to see the SUS with better camera Angles and some slow motion highlights. The races happen too fast and it's hard to see what the trucks actually do when sliding down the ramp. Once you've seen one race you've seen them all. Kids just watch too root for their truck. This ramp would be good at the end of an actual track that the trucks can race down. More like an obstacle at the end of a real track. Who says that the sign up series has to use this ramp always? I want to see more creativity added to these monster jam racing. My son would play with this ramp and get bored within 5 minutes. Then it's time to break out some home made tracks! This ramp gets old fast!
