Yeah, the philly series is a perfect example of how the nba does everything they can to get the big market teams in the finals. I used to get so vested in bucks and brewers but after the philly game, i havent got vested in a bucks team yet. Already know how its gonna end. And nba most definitely doesnt want the bucks to win with giannis, cuz they want him in a bigger market. He will be gone in 2 or 3 years. It would be nice if they drop milwaukee a bone(like they did cleveland) so people are less pissed when he leaves.
I’m a big Lakers fan and I remember very well during those early 2000s years Kobe and Shaq always had problems with the Bucks. Glenn Sam and Ray were all good shooters.
I agree Lakers likely still win in 6 or 7 but it would have been a good series. That Philly roster aside from Iverson was god awful. Foul discrepancy in PHI vs MKE was downright shameful.
Glenn Robinson with that mid range game would've give the Lakers fits in that finals. Sam Cassell would've given Fisher problems on post ups and Ray Allen, well shit that's Ray Allen nothing else needs to be said
I watched the George Karl & Sam Cassell interview & this was one of the topics they brought up. George Karl was saying that the officials rigged the ECF game against Sixers in their favor. It was suppose to be the Bucks vs Lakers, but I guess the league wanted a guaranteed victory for a Laker championship & Philly was a more likely victory for the Lakers than the Bucks.
@@cesarcanete3402 nah they rigged that series because they wanted to see allen iverson in the finals with his growing popularity because they thought Philly vs la would get more views than milwaukee vs la
@@BasketballHighway19 Makes sense. I was/still am an Allen Iverson fan. As a kid, I was rooting for him to win a championship, but after watching that George Karl & Sam Cassell interview, makes me feel bad that their Bucks team was robbed of a championship because of Iverson's popularity surging. He won the MVP that year, Aaron McKie won the 6th man of the year of the award & Mutombo won the DPOY award, so I can see why the league rigged those games in the Sixers favor because thats more of a watchable & profitable finals than a Bucks - Lakers finals.
@@cesarcanete3402 milwaukee would've been the better matchup, they were the better team. That would've been an amazing finals that would've gone 6-7 games. I'm glad we're out of the era of David stern and into the less rigged era of Adam silver where two small market teams made the nba finals.
@@BasketballHighway19 I would love to see a rematch again. It'd probably be a much better finals this time around because both teams upgraded & reloaded this season. The Suns look like a much hungrier team this season, so if we get a rematch, the Bucks won't be facing the same Suns team as last year. Same goes with the Bucks. The Suns will be facing a much tougher Bucks team if we get a rematch because they added Wes Matthews & Boogie Cousins on their roster. I hope we get a rematch or a Warriors - Bulls finals. I pray to god that they dont rig it so we get a Lakers - Nets finals or Warriors - Nets finals.
Definitely got robbed by the league or reffs that year... tha tri combo for the BuckS was deadly!!!...so pure shooting that the misses were questioned like WTF? GREAT MEMORIES OF THE FORTRESS ON FOURTH STREET! AND TEAM OF THAT ERA!
wow. i remember when Iverson played the Bucks We ended up losing as stacked as our team was. find out later it was all rigged. because people were gonna pay more money to see Iverson Vs. Kobe in the finals. ouch 😐

That was a fun Bucks team. Wish they could have played LA in the Finals. Would have been more entertaining than Philly
We had first row, center court, right where the checked in, season tickets at that time. Still so pissed, my bucks got screwed by the refs/league

The result would still be the same. The Lakers would still beat the Bucks.
