While I hate most covers that try to do a somber take on Sonic songs filled with energy, this is one of the few songs I’m okay with a slower tone. I’m surprised EmuEmi hasn’t done a cover of this song yet.
I love this song. It isn’t until you hear it covered by one of your favorite RUclips singers, that you really realize how sad the song actually is. I mean, GEEZ! You just saved the future, but your seemingly happy ending is very short. This song immediately reminds you how much pain that Silver is probably going through now, since he just saw his only friend sacrifice herself to save everyone. Damn. And people said that Sonic 06 had no redeeming qualities... I think I might start crying...😪 PS: Whoever disliked this has NO SOUL!
That moment when you realize someone just mistook the sleeping snot bubble emoji 😪 with the actual crying one 😢 Good job emoji people, confusing people for a few years now. Sorry I like to rant.
I actually cried because of that ending. Sonic 06 was still a good game, despite the cringe and overused tropes. All had good story arcs (except Sonic imo) and the villains made sense. I wish they’d redo 06, but without rushing it. I think it has potential.
@@Astronomicat117 Yeah. 06’s story and characters had so much potential, and there were glimpses of a good story in there, but the whole Sonic and Elise thing and the terrible, rushed game the entire story was attached to kinda ruined all hopes of that potential ever going anywhere. It’s a shame really.
@@johnofonett8036 if they ever remaster it, I hope they scrap the _entire_ idea of Elise and Sonic. Elise can be there if she has to, but there was no need for them to try to get her with Sonic. That was just weird and unnecessary-
@@Astronomicat117 Yeah. If they ever remake 06, they should just cut out the romantic aspects of Sonic and Elise’s relationship. I mean, I’m fine with humans existing in the Sonic universe - I’m kinda sad they just stopped including them as a thing after Unleashed - but trying to get Elise, a human, and Sonic together as a part of the story was insanely unnecessary and weird. I would’ve just preferred if Sonic and Elise’s arc was them becoming friends and not anything more than that. Sonic having any serious love interest outside of the comics is kind of a no-go for me.
