The labels and record sleeves for the 1977 pressings of the soundtrack were incorrect (swapping the titles "Magic and Ecstacy" and "Pazuzu (Theme from *_Exorcist II"_* ). The error was finally corrected with the 2001 CD reissues and on the 2021 vinyl reissue. 😃

Probably the only thing good about this incoherent pile of shit of a movie
And some of the cinematography and acting but that's it.
Wild. Can picture the Manson girls dancing to this. Lol. Not sure Ennio was the best choice to do the music for this film, but maybe it fits the oddness of it anyway. Movie deserved to be a whole lot better than what it became and still, I watch it in amazement from time to time.

The title is "Magic and Ecstasy", Pazuzu is another theme from the OST.
I don't think this fits the tone of the movie at all, but on its own I absolutely love it. Even a Morricone mistake is a masterpiece lol.

I only heard this on the original vhs version of ‘Exorcist II.’ The end credits start with ‘Regan’s Theme’ & end with this. I believe this was played on the tv trailer as well.

That version is on the Scream Factory blu ray.
I too remember it at the end credits right after a fade out of "Regan''s theme". It was like a cool homage to the first one's end credits when Tunular Bells comes in as the other theme fades out. I know the director and studio were displeased at the tidal wave of bad reaction and press the film got that the director pulled original prints from theaters almost immediately and recut the film...obviously, making (a further bad call) the decision to cut this crazy, but fitting theme out entirely. Luckily, these many decades later, a special 2 disc blu-ray edition was released with one of the discs being the original cut as originally released, with this end theme intact.

Speed is for cleaning the house,garage,closets and yard work, whatever. This song has no need nor is there any room for "extramentals" for it to elicit more spirit/emotional string plucking responses. Why put a tube full of alka seltzer in your glass of sparkling water? But I get it. Geez my house is filthy.

it is! unfortunately that is the only place where the original audios can be found and it sucks because it doesnt actually include all of the tracks used in the film. Mainly the track that plays when Raegan is standing on the edge of the skyscraper. it is nowhere to be found on this album.
