I learned the hard way that I'm going to need a IBC tote. I ran our well dry this morning going about watering the garden. Still waiting for it to come back so we can shower but it's likely to be tomorrow at the earliest. Definitely getting one of these for garden tasks! Thanks for the tips
@@TheTacticalHaggis Harvesting rain water is a great way to obtain extra water for gardening, animals, livestock, etc. Another thing you can do to is take 20 to 30 gallons a day from your well to put into storage. I grew up on wells both dug and drilled . Metal roofs are great for Harvesting rain water. Avoid shingles due to chemicals, stains, er.
Painting it black prevents algae growth. I have a charcoal Simpure filter for the 1st stage of water filtration, then it will go into a Berkey Water Filter for finial filtration.

Was there a reason for it to be painted black? Can you add a charcoal filter to this? Would that make less work for later use? (Drinking)?
