Thank you for the very helpful video! It is very easy to follow - I even did not have to memorise everything - I was just watching this video on my phone while replacing the pads on my NC750X :)

I use mine for daily commuting in town. Only a 5 mile trip, but there are many congestions - with a motorbike I can filter through and also use some bus lanes - road congestion is no longer an issue!
Never went on long trips, but have already upgraded the stock seat to a softer one from Shad and I can feel the difference :)

With the new seat I stopped thinking about it while I was feeling uncomfortable with the old one after 30 min of riding the bike.
Like yourself I also installed a 47L Givi top box. Also, Oxford heated grips, a SW-Motech centre stand, a Puig touring screen and Puig hand protectors. Planning to add some engine guards and a front fender extender. And an additional Puig adjustable screen deflector. All this has probably increased the cost of the bike by 20% but it is worth it :)

By the way, there is a very useful forum for owners of Honda NC series bikes - where you can share your experiences with like minded people.

@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 Great video. It will be useful when I change the rear brakes on my 2016 NC700x DCT. I installed a centerstand on my bike after I got it in 2017 (my bike was originally a Honda Demo bike) and never could have done it without video help. The instructions that came with it were useless and I bet the same will happen with new brakes.
      Cheers from Sunny Southern California!

Champion, thanks very much. My brakes has seized due to wet weather (and poor maintenance on my behalf which I will now rectify!) and your video helped me to quickly sort the problem out. One thing I'd caution against, especially for the non-mechanically minded clowns like me, is that there is a tension spring (don't know the name (retaining spring?)) hiding in there that keep the brakes from rattling around against the brake housing when in motion. Mine fell out and only through trial and error I got it back in, as it sort of just sits there and isn't clamped/retained in place. Thanks again (England). Subscribed.

Wonderful video... The music was ok but just needed to be lowered a bit. I'm curious, is this the same procedure for the Honda NC700X?

Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs .com i love my NC700X. I just finished a 7,000 mile cross country trip. I did a lot on the bike myself but never changed the brake pads. Hence that’s how I found your videos. If you’d like to read my article on my trip with the NC... you can find it in the link below. Again.. good work and thank you.

With the pads out, you might have cleaned around the piston seal and maybe added a bit of lube around the piston where it goes into the seal to keep it soft and limber.

Put the pads in place and then lower the caliper on to them. Thanks for that. ( I was putting them in the caliper and then lowering the lot and it doesn't work)
