Let me be nice about My comment instead of the flurry of Curse-words I'd prefer to use (but won't get me anywhere).
Using this device is not convenient.... AT ALL!!
I've done the menu diving and tried to learn the ins and outs of this device. I'm a nerd at heart, but let's be honest, this device makes our lives difficult.
For the first time, when I clicked service history, It only showed that I had done a prescan on a 2014 Pathfinder. Upon doing the post scan, it was found that the post scan had already been done previously, but the app failed to tell me that important piece of information.
There have been multiple mistakes on AsTech, yet we have to bite the cost because of a malfunction. If you guys do this to enough people and refused to reimburse the shop/insurance company, and that's a lot of $$$ Made out of thin air, all thanks to an Error 😡😡😡 The software needs to be re-written. Also, why wouldn't the post scan information (mileage, Ro # etc) be pre-populated in every post scan? It makes no sense and wastes so much valuable time. Please fix this...

I left a shop that had it because we needed it for certification. Your car will sit in a queue with the rest of the shops on earth until it’s your turn. If the ignition times out or your in a area with poor internet your dropped from the list and have to start over. Most scans sat waiting on a astech tech to get to it for 2 hrs. My current shop just got one for our subaru contract and the sales rep says it takes about 5 minutes but dances around the question “but how long does it sit in a queue before it’s remotely scanned?”
