@ericchoi 2GB RAM, the cheaper version. At first I prefer buying 64GB with 4GB RAM. But my friend told me that 2GB is enough because SSD is very fast. If memory used is over 2GB, vitrual memory(using some hard drive space as ram) is fast enough.
Thank you for uploading this! MUCH appreciated. Can you comment on it? I mean, it looks a little choppy at the beginning, though the rest looks pretty effortless to me. BTW, you have 2GB memory, right? Can you please also confirm the version of Flash installed, as well as the browser? Thanks again!
hey man, first of all thanks for uploading these tests. i tried the youtube video named "2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS facelift" (1080p) on this 11" MBA in Times Square today and found it choppy, but I assume the unit is straight out from the box and doesn't have flash? Anyway, it would be very helpful if you could try this video and tell me whether it plays smoothly on your MBA. Many thanks.
The 11-inch Air only has 768 vertical pixel lines...it can't display 1080 lines of pixels. You'd have to output the video to a display that is capable of that resolution.
i want to get a 11" macbook air will it be a good gaming machine for rome total war counter strike and age of empires 3 i5 1.6Ghz 4gb ram? intel hd 3000 graphics
WHY WHY WHY Did Apple use Intel's awful integrated graphics??? BARF!! The MBA is now officially lame. Maybe Intel paid Apple a few billion dollars to help Intel claim that their new integrated graphics are "good enough"?
It becomes choppy only when:
1. Switching mode (Full screen/Windowed)
2. RUclips annotation/advertisement

@demonguard
RAM vs virtual RAM.
Its in the realm of about a million times faster.
Looks like a few frames dropped. What version of FLASH?!
If you upgrade to 10.1, the playback should be butter smooth.
@schumy1975 I just tried that video. It drops some frames to nearly 15fps with 1080p. It become very lag when banner ad appear.
