Great review and tasteful playing! I've had my PodGo for about a month now and am very happy and impressed with the tones... I find it's main use for recording in the studio or going direct in to a PA o powered speakers. I've done some really great sounding recordings going straight from the PodGo's main outs in to my interface with out the need to mic up an amp.... and also done some small restaurant gigs going straight in to a small PA also without the need to use a guitar amp. ButI have to say... when I've connected it in to the front of my guitar amp I haven't been that happy as even when bypassing the PodGo's amp modelling and cab blocks, the unit doesn't seem to work as a true bypass and still seems to 'colour' the sound and muffle the tone of my amp. I use a Roland JC40 for it's amazing clean sounds, but when going through the PodGo I loose the amps tone... as I say, even when bypassing the amp modelling and cab blocks on the PodGo, and even when using the direct Amp Out jack which can be configured to tap out just before the amp modelling and cab blocks.... Basically this means that I can't use the PodGo just as a multi effects pedal board (with no amp and cab modelling)... Am I doing something wrong? In any case, just for it's use in the studio or for practicing with headphones it's worth investing in one!
Don't plug itb directly into your front amp. You need to use it on the effects loop of the amp if you plan to use a guitar amp instead of an FRFR full range flat response speaker or get a pair of studio monitors. It's a modeler so.... look up the videos on the 4 cable method by Jason Sadites and others.
It should not be tapped out before the amp but between the amp and cab (before the cab). Your physical amp should provide the cab part. You can also try changing from Amp to Preamp in the amp block and see if that helps, since your physical amp is providing the power amp sound which does not need to be modeled.
is there any way to hear the line 6 pod go plugged direct FOH without a stage amp using a full band? I've seen hundreds of youtube videos talking about how great the new modelers are live, but not one video showing an actual band playing one direct FOH... Jeez and skip the board recordings too, Just stick a good old condenser mic in the back of the room. I don't want to hear a studio sounding recording, I want to hear an actual demo of what these things actually sound like live in a room with other musicians. HOW HARD COULD IT BE ?
Thank you so much! One question! I have a POD GO, is there a chance pod go users can have some of the features in helix 3.0 firmware! I hope the waiting not to be so long! Greetings from Mexico!
@@ModuliOfRiemannSurfaces yea there is a pitch shifter and other octave effects on the Pod Go, but I meant an effect to actually change tuning (Like the digitech drop tune pedal). That beast can transpose a drop D tuned guitar into a Drop A signal nicely. I guess I could use the pitch shifter on the digitech setting with the expression pedal cocked, but that wouldn't sound anything like a drop tuned guitar, rather like holding a whammy down after a bomb drop and... yea that crusty, loose rattling sound, not my tone lol
@@ModuliOfRiemannSurfaces no worries brother, the only thing I can hope for is an update that adds one possibly. Like when line 6 added the purple ch REVV Gen to the Pod.
Hi! If I'm understanding well and you need something to change the tune of the guitar, the SimplePitch let you move the tone any semitones you need. Just add it on the beginning of the line and move the setting "interval".
Great video. Can anyone in this world if/how possible to add an external loop pedal via the fx ports?? Love to get my boss rc500 loop to work like in the demo playing along with 🙏🏼
Hi! You can connect the Pod go line 6 to the rc 505 using the Main out... R to R , L to L. This way you can use the looper normally, but the problem is that the effects applied in the rc affects to the POD too.
So I believe the wireless part is only the input. You would need to use a quarter inch to connect it to your interface or amp still. I could be wrong though
@@nliebert41 Hello Nate, I figured it out. I used a Y XLR / TRS 1/4 inch cable. Connected XLR to line 1 front of 2i2 and TRS 1/4 inch into POD GO Main OUT L/R. The 2i2 is connected to my monitors. You must have the POD GO connected to your PC via USB for this to work.
Paul is awesome! Even though I own a Stomp, I still believe the Pod Go is the best budget amp simulator out there. Unreal value for your money.
Line 6 is lucky to have Paul as an artist 👍
ok but now i need that table.
I own HX Stomp but I watch every video of every product from you :)
This is how I use the Pod Go when I'm rehearsing for orchestra gigs and I'm well, on the "Go"! 😉👍
How you separate the volume of the pod go and the backing track without using a mixer?

In this demo, I don't see any output signal, and as far as I remember the Pod GO cannot reproduce via Bluetooth. Thanks for the info
My I phone has the lighting end. What type of cable do I need to get to use my iPhone for backing tracks to the pod go?
I see there is a Line 6 Amplifi in the room. Is Paul using that for his speaker?

Does anyone know the recommended headphone impedance for the phone jack?

which cable (brand, technical data etc.) is recommended for connecting the phone as a playback device?
Is the pod go compatible with the spider jam?
Man. I coulda swore i was hearing a tele in beginning...tgat yamaha is awesome.professional ,element???
When will Pod Go Edit 1.13 or other firmware be released? It is a problem that you cannot use it with a MacBook.
where can you buy audio play?
Can it be use for live gigs?
Can I connect my POD directly into an FRFR like the headrush without anything else in between?
Yes
The one thing I wish the Pod Go had that it doesn't is a pitch effect to raise or lower the tuning
Pretty sure there's a digitech whammy equivalent modeled by the Pod.

Curious. I just attached my android phone via USB but no sound into my phones. The sound is still comming from my phone. What am I doing wrong?
Cool👍
Where do you plug the phone into?
USB behind the POD GO
What sample rate does the Pod Go output at. If I’m not mistaken it’s 48 kHz. Is that ok for music production.
Hey, is it somehow possible to use POD Go with the Native plugin?
Pod go Will there be a new firmware?
I would miss the XLR outputs.
For the $ great unit though, nice playing also!
Curious can you hear a difference XLR vs. 1/4? Not sarcasm.
I use a 1/4" TRS-to-XLR cable going direct and it sounds fine to me.
Can this be used as a daw controller? Like for instance control my sounds in presets for BIAS Effects for instance

Hi can anyone answer , if I use Pod go as USB interface to record stereo guitar effects , will it create two tracks L and R ?
that or a stereo track, depends on how you set your recording software.
where is da WIRELESS Pod Go ??
how long do we have to wait ???
hurry on Line 6 boyz 😎
It's out! I just saw a demo
Bad, no has Poly Capo this unit!!
