  • Yes, it’s true - swinging and throwing toys helps kids build skills and it can be fun! Our occupational therapy (OT) experts have the details for you ⬇️
🌟 Grasping and releasing toys helps kids develop their motor skills! When you build the small muscles in your hands and wrists, it helps you to be able to hold a pencil, use scissors, brush your teeth, etc. Throwing those toys into the bucket while swinging also helps with hand-eye coordination!
🌟 Sensory swinging during OT can be calming for kids who need that support, but it also helps kids work on their balance, core strengthening, body awareness and more.
📲 Think your child can benefit from OT? Talk to your pediatrician or specialist to be referred!
