How to get FREE products to Review | CurlObsessed GG

- In this video i will be telling you how Small RUclipsrs (like myself) get free products to review. The two main ways that I have found to be the most successful are 1.) Asking small start-up companies for free products in exchange for a review on my channel, 2.) Free subscription boxes!
1.) Asking small start-up Companies.
- look on social media (you can guess the size of a company usually by the amount of followers and posts etc)
- check out other RUclipsrs (with similar amounts of subscribers/views) that are reviewing products. If a company was willing to send them one they might do the same for you!
- Go on websites like Amazon or AliExpress and look for products that have little to no reviews, and IF the products interest you, contact the seller. Tell them that you would love to promote their product if they send you one for free. (This is a little harder to do because the people selling the products might not want/care for promotion. Majority of the time they are just sellers not the ones who make the product.)
2.) Free subscription boxes/ samples.
- Infulenster : A review website that gives you the opportunity to get free VoxBoxes if you are compatible with that months products and if you are active on their website. Check it out here: www.influenster.com/r/2650822
- DailyGoodieBox : This is a monthly sample box. The samples are random and depend on what they have to offer. You receive one when they have one to send you. Just sign up and keep checking in in case your eligible.
- BzzAgent (Not mentioned in this video) This is another free subscription box. I am not personally signed up for this box but i have heard a lot about it. So if you are interested check out the website here: www.bzzagent.com/
3.) Sign up for giveaways! (I mentioned this very quickly)
- Giveaways are based on chance, BUT if you do happen to win you have extra products to review or even just share on your channel. What's the worst that could happen?
*** Make sure to Have at least 1 or 2 review videos up on your channel. This will allow companies to see how you review products and just give them on overall example of what your review video would look like for their product!
- If you do not want to spend money on new/ expensive products, no problem! Just review products you already use that are just laying around your home.
** Make sure to be Honest! Your viewers trust you and your feedback, so do not forget that! Your representing your brand and whatever products you review, so only review things you like or have some honest constructive feedback. If you do not like a product, just don't review it. If you still want to give a review on it, make sure you do not sound like your bashing or discrediting that company (it will just make you sound/look bad).

This was great, been searching for "review beauty products for free" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Zonenjamin Qiyrayden Builder - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my co-worker got excellent results with it.

You gave some really good tips; however I think your asking to little as an influencer...
free is cool and all, but... you should and can be getting so much more; like actually getting paid to review these things/products.
I really don''m care if thats how you want to do things, but... you kinda make it bad for everyone else that knows ther're worth as an influencer if your willing to review products/things just for a free product.
I guess what I'm tryna say is: this strategy works if your just starting out as a new influencer but as your reach grows and gets bigger you should defiantly be asking to get paid to review products especially if you plan on being an influencer full time.

I think how you come up with a price to charge I think you multiply your following by how much the product cost or something like that I'm not to sure about the mathematic formula yet, but you can youtube how a influencer comes up with they're rates on google or youtube and youll be able to find out the break down of the formula. so in all this is only a good way to get free stuff to review if you like the product or if your a new influencer. Otherwise to sum it all up you should be getting paid to review things as a influencer and you figure out what to charge based on your influential reach

Retro Fusion My best advice would be to sign up for influenster, cause you get the boxes based on your profile and what they're offering that month. But for any company to want to send you products you should review things around your house, like hair products or electronics. Just to show companies a prototype of what they're unboxing video would look like on your channel. One small company that I can remember that sent me products early on was bare beauty organics ( I found them on twitter and dm'd them about the promo)

I would just make a post on a social media site where you can reach the most people. There are so many small youtubers out here that are willing to do just that! Sending a private message to each possible candidate or a general post would work great 👍

How much of a following did u have prior to receiving the box?
Bc I am really only on RUclips and Pinterest like that
NicoleKristine I had a very small following on RUclips, but it was growing daily. I also remade my Instagram to match my channel, so I had followers from before and subscribers were slowly starting to follow me. Overall, I did not have a big following (still working on it 😂) but as long as your active on their website and link as many social media sites as you can. Google +,Facebook and Instagram seem to be the bigger ones so I would connect them all no matter the following. I was SUPER surprised at how fast I received my first box, so stay active and be patient 😊

what do you use to edit videos?
Jason Grabowski I'm still using Windows Movie maker, which comes on all pc's automatically I believe. It's very basic but it gets the job done! The only thing it doesn't do is add pictures on top of your videos and the text/video effect are also basic, great for starters!
