I hope this helps some of you: Thermal Vent Chamber Locations 1 - 07:00 (Near water labyrinthy area, after getting past that waterfall room with the floating platforms.) 2 - 09:08 (Just past the underwater tunnels, after torpedo swimming through them & finding the right path.) 3 - 18:22 (Near the end of the level - this is the one with rooms w/ huts to the left and right.)
Dude it’s truly amazing how you can remember all these passageways. It’s mind numbing and I’d get lost so easily lol. Pretty amazing seeing the memory and speed.
I remember you playing this level on the normal PC version a long long time ago it was really fun, i'ts good to know that you are still making Turok videos
This stage was the wild card, as it didn't feel like it didn't have as much connection to the end game as the other stages. Not even the description implied that the Primagen had connections to the Blind One Guardians. Seems as if Adon sent Turok to do a duty that wasn't truly a requirement.
Nah this is a good ass question, what does trapping the Blind Ones really do in the grand scheme of things? And if it’s because of the Primagen key located there, it’s right at the start of the level so why would we need to go down there? Adon must’ve had beef with them or something and I don’t blame her, I do too (annoying little fuckers), but damn go do it yourself if you hate them so much 😂
A fair question. Perhaps there was no connection but simply a quest to obtain the primagen key since all the keys were scattered around the located energy totems that Adon was capable to map around The Lost Land.
Remember Adon's the speaker for the Lazarus Concordance and simply Joshua/Turok's guide. Most likely the Concordance had an issue with the Blind Ones and their leader(?). None the less, they're a danger abducting people from the surface and a hostile entity living under the Lost Lands. Two birds with one stone. There are Entrails there, which implies some influence from the Primagen.
the side way running makes this difficult to watch. I get that it gives you more speed but I keep getting this knee jerk reaction to tilt my monitor. lol.
yea its a result of iffy programming, was kind of a theme with early shooters how you didn't calibrate it for directions or whatever, so lots of early shooters you could side step or side jump like this way faster
Bro you got me through this level in an hour and a half, I can't thank you enough. I love the use of the warp point for the feather to save on back tracking. It was fascinating to play along with you. It looks like sometimes you load a different save, am I wrong? Either way thanks again, great content
I'm glad you like it and that it helps you. I shouldn't have loaded any different save files. I did delete unneeded save files off screen, which might add to some confusion. I could be wrong an I did load a wrong save file by accident. I hope not :)
EvilGames actually I don’t think you did. Yes very helpful. Also used your level 2 video as well. I’ve beaten this twice with no walk through but for the hardcore run I just didn’t wanna get lost at any point. Thank you!!
I remember playing this game as a kid. It’s a fucking labyrinth! I only finished it once and in the next run on a clean new file, I got stuck and never cleared it lol. I didn’t remembered the required location to finish the missions. Same as level 5, I finished once but I messed up on the secon run as well lol. Those last levels were designed to be mazes
Is it possible to use a door key on some other door? My key isn’t there on the platform for the first thermal vent but I got all the way to the end of the level? Wtf???
@@BartyCub In the remaster, you are able to perform a precise jump to skip the talisman requirement. I don't remember exactly how, but I did the trick in the video for Level 3.
I think the biggest reason people found this level so confusing was because of the game's technical limitations at the time. Low FOV, poor draw distance and bad controls don't mesh well with this kind of level design.
They had to physically develop an extra RAM cart just to run the game it was so beefy, but at the time this game was like one of the highest technical games out there, and N64 had like highest RAM. this was the 1999 equivelent of 16gb ram lol, or tryng to run Crysis on a 486

20 minutes? This place is a labyrinth!
Not for an experienced player. I for example know this level by heart.
Proximity94 fuckoff
@@kmassie14 well damn
It was even more labyrinthian in the N64 original

My little Turok always shat his pants in front of the underwater maze. Hardest part of the game.
man turok 2 remake would be so extreme epic
Thanks a Lot for the help. Ive been stuck long time on this level.

I just finished playing this level. It is a God Damn maze! I'm surprised I even finished it. I mean, it took me 4 hours but I got it.
To this day this still remains my favorite game from the n64 days

Yes I just did that lol however you can use some door keys on other thermal vent locations.
@@MrDroski100 yeah I had to get the last key in the level and turn around 🤦🏽♂️
Man say this level right here is a test your metal frfr.
i just cant find the cave key for the first thermal vent ( the 7:12 one)
This one got me too. I spent hours backtracking and never noticed the cave entrance near the satchel charge platform.
,Great Vídeo Likee!!

Man, your FOV is frightening.
7:08 Where get you this Key???
Bruh finished this very very fast. The average run on here be 40 minutes to an hour
Ok so how did you manage to get the Scorpion Launcher and Firestorm Cannon before level 4? Pretty sure you can't
There's a bonus area at the end of Level 3 with those weapons.
