I really hope you're gonna appreciate the fact that despite the long delay I have actually managed to complete this video. For me this wasn't just the video that took the most time to complete, it was also the most stressful and draining one. It was pretty much stuck in development hell for almost a year and became a liability to me, that's why I am so incredibly happy to finally get this over with. Before it all became so tedious, this video was actually an exciting project for me. As you may know, there already is an old Rem2010 video on my channel. And for a long time I considered it to be my best work, but I have made some improvements since then, I learned many new things and realized that I can do better now. That's why I have decided to remake it. I'm not quite as satisfied with it as with 2008, 2016 and 1983 (as I said, for the most part I just wanted to be done with it), but I believe that it is much better than the original. So now what? Does it mean I'm now free to move on to other REMEMBER videos? As much as I don't want this to be my final video (I would still like to take on several more years), we have to be real here. After something so psychologically exhausting I need a long break from these, and if I finally start working on a new REMEMBER video, it won't happen in a while. Maybe something short, like a mini 10 minute long video from the 60s, but definetely not anytime soon.

Honestly, 2010 was a magical year for music. The whole electro pop sound was at its peak and it felt very fresh. By 2012, this sound had been overused and washed up. But in 2010, it was very refreshing and gave this otherwise pessimistic year a bit of optimism.

ditto. my brother & i r twins & we were 15. we turn 28 next month on the 22. on may 16 that year i was trying 2 buy a song from itunes & put it on my old ipod. i dont remember what button i pushed but it kept disconnecting itself from my old computer & deleting all my songs. i tried fixing it 4 weeks but couldnt get it back 2 how i wanted it. thats why i wasnt as emotional as everybody else when my brother & i saw toy story 3 with our cousins & their friend. i was still bummed about it but otherwise i wouldve cried my eyes out like everybody else. i still cant believe pixar ruined it with a fourth movie. 3 was the perfect finale. im gonna miss ipods too :(

Summer 2010 was a great summer
I was only 16, aw... but man, I had no idea how chaotic the world would end up only 10 years later. I didn't realize how dull and boring pop culture would become, had no idea the rare Tumblr sjws back then would one day rule the world (yes, there were sjws back then, but they didn't control our media and Democrats were still classical liberals for the most part), and I didn't appreciate the music at that time.
Music is the biggest tragedy. Like yeah back then it wasn't deep stuff, but it was catchy and fun! Why can't life be fun and carefree again? The internet and pop culture used to be an escape, now it's like... world events and stupid politics are shoved down your throat 24/7. I can't fucking keep up in this current world. Don't get me started on movies now... like they weren't super great but by the late 2010s everything trending was remakes and superheroes. I'm bored.
Everything sucks now and I genuinely feel bad for teenagers and kids now. Y'all really have no idea how chill life was in the 00's-early 2010s. I wish I appreciated how carefree we could be. (I know corona is a major issue for 2020 but once we're past this, and the civil unrest, then what? Are we back to blandness in pop culture? Can we have catchy music again and good movies, at least??)
Yeah I hear ya after 2015 music and movies definitely took a downhill route. Trends seem to only last a few months now. I miss the old days too. I was 17 in 2010 and I feel bad that schools are probably not gonna exist in the near 10 years. Everything is looking like a dystopia. Its even hard for me to relate to anybody born after 2000. You don’t appreciate the things till there gone. Never realized how good music (2002-2015) was till now

One of my first memories from 2010 was going to my little cousin’s 1st birthday party. We were singing happy birthday, and I staring yelling “HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR JAIDEN. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU”. It was right after every body else finished singing AND after the candle was blown out. I’m surprised that he didn’t cry because of how loud almost 5 year old me yelled.

My first year in college!! Damn I wish I finished. This made me want to go back
I was 14, honestly the last good year in my eyes. Everything has gone downhill ever since. Still remember getting bad company 2 as my early birthday present and playing the ever living shit out of it along with mass effect 2 and still playing MW2 at the time. Then along came black ops 1 the last good call of duty from the golden years of cod.
