The man always led OKC statistically and as a leader. That’s why the team played even better without RW when he won mvp with a rookie Steven Adams, Hasheem Thabeet, Perry Jones, and bunch of role players. That same year both Ibaka and Reggie Jackson emerged as true players.
They always want to psycho-analyze these players. KD came from nothing. Just because you have talent doesn't mean you make it. There are plenty of stories of guys with talent who couldn't get it right. Durant, with help from the people around him, overcame some very tough circumstances to get to the league and excel. That alone should dead any conversation about him being mentally weak.
Just because he doesn't play the role the media wants him to play doesn't mean he's weak. Just like Kawhi. Dude has overcome more in his young life than most of these talking heads ever had. Don't confuse an unwillingness to play media games with being weak.
