Thoroughly enjoy you two! I'm at home caring for my 22-year-old son who struggles with life (29 brain surgeries, so medically and emotionally fragile) and my 83-year-old mother who has dementia, and who, until recently, was my support. A Vespa scooter is definitely the way to go! For the exact reasons you pointed out - parking and getting around traffic. Did that about 20 years ago and it is still one of the highlights of my travel life (80+ countries visited now).
7:00 what a nice transition from the car to the drone. Watched it several times. And the Fiat 500 ride is a must do, also in Toscane. Love the way you take us with you on trip(ped).

Always worth making the trip to Armando's for lunch or dinner. We were once fortunate enough to eat with the family and staff after closing. Magnificent.
My favorite part! Positano I got to go there once. Beautiful!
It is stunning, I was there in August 2018 and it was so crowded, so many cars, bikes and busses. I loved it and hope one day to go back there . We were lucky enough to stay in Sorento for a week and did day trips . Just beautiful

Oh my nothing like driving an unfamiliar stick shift on crazy, skinny roads! Did that in Scotland - eek. Beautifully done - love the Tripped Backpack "ad" in the middle!
Great episode! I especially like the '70s theme music at the start. Right on! And I really appreciate that you took Pepper with you on the trick. Our pets are part if the family too and should be able to soak up these experiences also.

When seeing you renting the small fiat to drive to Amalfi already knew it will be a fun drive. 😅
BRAVISSIMI!!! Brings back soo many great memories, we drove the opposite way from Salerno to Amalfi in July and in Renault Espace - yes it was very interesting - good thing I LOVE driving and had an absolute blast! Next time we are definitely going topless in a 124 Spider. You got a new Sub ;) Ciao.
We drove these same roads over the course of three days while staying in Amalfi this September, alas, looking nowhere as cool as you do :-)

Beautiful area. we were there just two years ago. worked our way from Cinque Terra North of Florence and ended on Beautiful Island of Ischia
Awesome vlog, visited there back in 2014 with Wife, Mother in-law and 2 daughters. We stayed in the cute little house with mural painted on the side at 8:16, fantastic views. From Positano we ferried across to Salerno rented a car and drove South to Matera then down to Tropea and into Sicily Taormina and finally Palermo, can never get enough of Italy!

With a delay, I casually watched this video. You did a great travel report. I hope you have had a great vacation in Italy, with all these wonderful places to visit, and typically Italian foods to enjoy. An excellent choice, driving an old Fiat 500: on these narrow streets, it remains the most suitable car for driving. And an excellent choice of the driver, to drive barefoot: in this way you get much more feeling, especially with an old car, where feeling the clutch, especially if you are not used to driving a manual, is easier. Some people, in the comments of this video, have criticized driving barefoot, while I (I'm Italian, and I know these old cars well), I prefer to drive barefoot. And the Italian highway code allows it.
Fin my boyfriend is from Bari %100 Italian with two masters degrees there. He said your Italian was very good. I thought you should know! I am very proud of you and Tim and Pepper. All my love from New York City!! As of now.

You guys are cool, travelling by car on the Amalfi Coast gave me nausea (and normally I don't have any issues), so I had to switch to travelling by boat... I got tired of having a queasy stomach for like an hour after getting out of the car. Luckily for me I was there in October so it wasn't too crowded... And also had a beautiful vacation in Capri.

Brilliant, enjoyed your video. Tim you would have enjoyed driving the Cincento much better with shoes on. They are fun city car to drive.
You would have loved a Fiat 126 with the 650cc engine.
the Fiat 500 with it's 17 horsepower on those narrow coastal road must have tested your patience but the scenery and the food made up for it for sure . By the way Fin looked like a real Italian signora that Sophia Loren used to play in the movies .

so, I'm guessing that if you thought it was dicey getting out of Sorrento, that you didn't drive out of Naples (like we did!). That was truly seeing your life flash before your eyes!
