I am always stressed about school for two reasons: -Not matching the score of my friends or embarassing myself in front of them -My parents constantly telling me that if I don't do well I will be a disgrace to the family

But I am not for school like I do have good grades but the thing is my mom is almost always disappointed abt my marks like 22/25 is not a bad score, but she thinks it is, and I used to be in top 5 students like u know the "toppers", but now I'm in top 10 students and she is still not happy and she legit keeps comparing me to my sister( sometimes) , cousins or frnds and when I don't feel like studying or can't focus and if I tell her this she just says "whatever it is, u have to study, u need to top and get good marks ( meaning full marks) '" And then she also scolds me for nothing 😢 and just keeps taunting like I know I did wasted my time not studying but I have a reason for that ( I have only 1 week left in my finals, lol 😂 ) and I like start zoning out or daydreaming while studying before, now i am able to focus more like before my focus was 10-15% and now it's like 30-35% ❤😂😂

Some tips from me - 1. Plan your day (like faye said) - Everyday, I plan whatever I have to do. On weekends, it is from morning to night, on school days from when class gets over to night, even evening to night if i hv extra classes. This has helped A LOT. 2. Take breaks - Always schedule breaks between your study time. if you study for, let's say 1 hour, take a 15 mins break or whatever suits you. If you ever cross the time limit you set for a task and studied into your break, take some time off from your next task, and add it on later. 3. Stay hydrated, its gonna help you. 4. Take some time for selfcare everyday - For me, reading, creative writing or art is what I do in my me time. I also take an hour to workout and work on my body, to be more confident, and I absolutely enjoy it! Do what you want and take care of yourself. 5. If you have a hard time remembering stuff, try to colour code, and take notes on sides of the book( empty spaces, etc) - This is how I study in books, and believe me, it makes preparing for exams suuuuper easy. 6. Start preparing beforehand - In my shool we have weekly tests on Tuesdays, and halfyearly at around september-october and annuals from january-february. So, I start preparing abt four days before weekly tests, and two months before hy's and annuals. At first, I just go through and complete worksheets, and later prepare properly. That's basically it from me lol. Anyway, these things are just what works for me, and you can have a completely different style! Do what suits you, and keep loving yourself besties 💜💜
Guys I just graduated college and I’m one of the top 5 students of my class. The only tip I want to give y’all is to plan everything as she said, cover things side by side as they are taught in class, start preparations months before exam sessions, just plan everything out in your mind and act upon it, the more you build this habit, the more successful college life you will have. If you can’t act accordingly to your plan or timeline then amend it a little and try again , do it again and again until you succeed. Just push yourself towards your goals it might seem hard but it’s not impossible. Soon you will be there and obv give breaks within. Balance everything in life or try to do so and you will nail it at the end ❤️

Oh my god, same. I feel motivated to change my routine, lifestyle now. For the past months, I have been procrastinating and I fall into depression again, this always happen in online school. I felt tired and burnout. But I decided to stand up on my own two feet, also because my school is in 2 weeks and I hadn't done all the homeworks so I was panicking. I'm now currently worried about the homeworks I have not done, my brother just got back from work and the first thing he says "Wow, you're just chatting all day? Did you even do any work?" I was chatting with my friend who also watches Faye, I ask for her help about the whole homework situation. She gave me tips and it helped me calm down a lil bit, but I did hold back my tears when my Brother said that. He even said I was lazy just now. I got pretty hurt, I mean it's not the first time I got hurt by his words but still. I'm trying to ignore his opinions and others. Otherwise they're just going to be in my brain, to be the devils to guilt trip me. So my goal is to do atleast some of the homeworks, if I hadn't do the others, might as well just wait till the 2 weeks and go to school, and instantly borrow my friends and copy it 🤣🤣 Or I'll just accept the fact I didn't do it and let teacher's be disappointed in me, I know they're gonna be disappointed, but I don't want that to be the thing that drags me back to the depression hole. I want it to be something that keeps me motivated to try harder. And then, I'm gonna try out to study. Then in the holidays, which is December. I'm gonna slowly build up a new lifestyle. The one I'm wanting to try to do, is trying to avoid depression. The I found includes Exercising, Meditation, ignore toxic people etc. I'm just gonna try it out. I want to try to be gentle with myself :) And good luck! I'm Glad I'm not the only who gets scared of what the people would think of me after not doing attending in Online School! ^~^ It'll all get better! Also I woke up in 5:42 am, so that's a progress! I have been oversleeping for months, but not anymore :)
Bruh, my brother said something again. Saying that I should study and not play my phone all day. One thing he doesn't know, is that I was doing my homework till 3:00 am last night, probably not good to stay up all night like that, but I had to do my homework. And now my eyes are so tired •_• 👍 Also, another thing he doesn't know. Is that I'm going slow, I've *never* studied properly, non of his tips of studying ever work on me. So I'm trying to go slow and take my time (I think he doesn't like to "Take Time" but my dad does, so imma follow my dad) The goal I want to do now is my homeworks, not studies. I'm already a little stress about homeworks, I don't want to add more stress about studies now. when I can't even study properly. This is the first step of me changing, ignoring what my brother say about schools, saying that I'm lazy, there's going to be PT3 soon, SPM soon etc. I get it, he's trying to help me. But I don't know, for the past years of him reminding me about school. Non of them even motivated me or even helped me. They just make me feel worse, make me feel bad about myself, it makes me more guilty. I came back here to just bring back my motivation, also came back here to tell myself to not let what my brother said, get into my head. Because it's just going to make me more guilty which will led me to be unmotivated again. I ask my friend about math, and she only send half of it. So I guess there's a whole lot more. But it's okay :)
I've been the top 1 since I was grade 2 until now but the pressure that is on me is really hard. My mindset is always "I have to keep my position or else I'll be a disappointment" and my mom is making it worse. Whenever I get one wrong answer she would say "What happened to that one point? You could have done better". But whenever I watch your videos I feel like I have someone that relates to my problems. Tysm like really you always lift up my mood :)

I am a first year student.. everything was too overwhelming for me and I really had a hard time adjusting to all the work load we had.. Exams these year have stressed me out so much. My anxiety doesn't let me eat as much as I need and then my empty stomach just wants to throw up. It happened twice this time. I've always been coping well with school and my studies even though I have dance classes almost everyday for a few years now. I loved this video alot! Thank you for breaking things down for us. School used to not stress me out until the pandemic started because of online classes and online exams. I do better when I'm placed in a physically dynamic environment and when I can differentiate my approach to studies at home(do notes and memorise ) and school (understand concepts and make sure I'm up to date with everything). Having to attend classes from home screwed this up for me and the screen time just drains me physically. I am going to try to be more consistent and hard working in my daily studies so that I can stress myself out less in exams. Thanks again!

I really enjoy school and yes I do feel stressed, mainly worrying about not meeting my own expectations. Usually I still do fine on tests, but recently calculus 2 has been super hard for me. The professor is not very encouraging and the more he points out mistakes I just shut down in the class. I’ve never felt super anxious about tests but I have such high anxiety going into these tests that I have issues with my health and I sometimes cry after brutal lectures over the tests. I was currently studying for the class and needed a break and stumbled upon this video.
Today I had a test of 20 marks and I messed up at a major 5 marks question which finally had me ending up here, thanks Faye now I now i need to study hard and got some amazing tips from you.
A thing I do is not stress before or during my exams but after about which results I'm going to get, it helps me remember better since I don't stress when I need to retain the information.
when i sometimes get a bad grade, i just think that i will review on my mistakes form that test and work on them,- and if i don’t understand it, i will ask a teacher or my family to help me:) if u r sad, mad or whatever abt a bad grade, remember, it’s JUST a bad grade, not a bad life, so take it easy honey

Hey Faye sis :D Hope you are doing great and as always it was *chefs kiss* type video :) As you asked in the last part,here is my answer I am a student of class 5 and Depression(?),Stress,Anxiety have become parts of my everyday life in 2021 :( I am the youngest in family so no one even bothers to know what am I going through :/ A problem of mine is that I don't have any interest in studying oh sorry memorizing EVERY SINGLE USELESS THING at all(example: Bengali grammer/Religion subjects) All we are taught is how to memorize long Q/As and write it down on exam paper in bookish language :/ I am kind of good in math,English and Science because I find them at least useful unlike other subjects.I am really bad at memorizing+I hate it and that's why I stay stressed because I have a reputation which I need to save at all cost :( Also I hate my parents. Once I got 55/60 In a Tuition Math exam(not even a school one) and my mom said many hurtful words :( I just can't seem to get my life back together even after trying hard :/ I lost hope cause yes I don't expect something REALLY GREAT done by me.I just want to read English Literature and become a professor but my present"golden" childhood is worse. 4. Take some time for selfcare everyday - For me, reading, creative writing or art is what I do in my me time. I also take an hour to workout and work on my body, to be more confident, and I absolutely enjoy it! Do what you want and take care of yourself.
5. If you have a hard time remembering stuff, try to colour code, and take notes on sides of the book( empty spaces, etc) - This is how I study in books, and believe me, it makes preparing for exams suuuuper easy.
6. Start preparing beforehand - In my shool we have weekly tests on Tuesdays, and halfyearly at around september-october and annuals from january-february. So, I start preparing abt four days before weekly tests, and two months before hy's and annuals. At first, I just go through and complete worksheets, and later prepare properly.
That's basically it from me lol. Anyway, these things are just what works for me, and you can have a completely different style! Do what suits you, and keep loving yourself besties 💜💜
Guys I just graduated college and I’m one of the top 5 students of my class. The only tip I want to give y’all is to plan everything as she said, cover things side by side as they are taught in class, start preparations months before exam sessions, just plan everything out in your mind and act upon it, the more you build this habit, the more successful college life you will have. If you can’t act accordingly to your plan or timeline then amend it a little and try again , do it again and again until you succeed. Just push yourself towards your goals it might seem hard but it’s not impossible. Soon you will be there and obv give breaks within. Balance everything in life or try to do so and you will nail it at the end ❤️

Oh my god, same. I feel motivated to change my routine, lifestyle now. For the past months, I have been procrastinating and I fall into depression again, this always happen in online school. I felt tired and burnout.
But I decided to stand up on my own two feet, also because my school is in 2 weeks and I hadn't done all the homeworks so I was panicking. I'm now currently worried about the homeworks I have not done, my brother just got back from work and the first thing he says "Wow, you're just chatting all day? Did you even do any work?"
I was chatting with my friend who also watches Faye, I ask for her help about the whole homework situation. She gave me tips and it helped me calm down a lil bit, but I did hold back my tears when my Brother said that. He even said I was lazy just now. I got pretty hurt, I mean it's not the first time I got hurt by his words but still.
I'm trying to ignore his opinions and others. Otherwise they're just going to be in my brain, to be the devils to guilt trip me.
So my goal is to do atleast some of the homeworks, if I hadn't do the others, might as well just wait till the 2 weeks and go to school, and instantly borrow my friends and copy it 🤣🤣 Or I'll just accept the fact I didn't do it and let teacher's be disappointed in me, I know they're gonna be disappointed, but I don't want that to be the thing that drags me back to the depression hole. I want it to be something that keeps me motivated to try harder.
And then, I'm gonna try out to study. Then in the holidays, which is December. I'm gonna slowly build up a new lifestyle. The one I'm wanting to try to do, is trying to avoid depression. The I found includes Exercising, Meditation, ignore toxic people etc. I'm just gonna try it out. I want to try to be gentle with myself :)

Bruh, my brother said something again. Saying that I should study and not play my phone all day. One thing he doesn't know, is that I was doing my homework till 3:00 am last night, probably not good to stay up all night like that, but I had to do my homework. And now my eyes are so tired •_• 👍
Also, another thing he doesn't know. Is that I'm going slow, I've *never* studied properly, non of his tips of studying ever work on me. So I'm trying to go slow and take my time (I think he doesn't like to "Take Time" but my dad does, so imma follow my dad)
The goal I want to do now is my homeworks, not studies. I'm already a little stress about homeworks, I don't want to add more stress about studies now. when I can't even study properly.
This is the first step of me changing, ignoring what my brother say about schools, saying that I'm lazy, there's going to be PT3 soon, SPM soon etc. I get it, he's trying to help me. But I don't know, for the past years of him reminding me about school. Non of them even motivated me or even helped me. They just make me feel worse, make me feel bad about myself, it makes me more guilty.
I came back here to just bring back my motivation, also came back here to tell myself to not let what my brother said, get into my head. Because it's just going to make me more guilty which will led me to be unmotivated again.
I ask my friend about math, and she only send half of it. So I guess there's a whole lot more. But it's okay :)

I've been the top 1 since I was grade 2 until now but the pressure that is on me is really hard. My mindset is always "I have to keep my position or else I'll be a disappointment" and my mom is making it worse. Whenever I get one wrong answer she would say "What happened to that one point? You could have done better". But whenever I watch your videos I feel like I have someone that relates to my problems. Tysm like really you always lift up my mood :)

I've always been coping well with school and my studies even though I have dance classes almost everyday for a few years now. But recently I've been a bit stressed out because I'm an SPM student and I'm suppose to have my trials when I go back to school in September (supposedly). And I am NOT ready for it yet. School used to not stress me out until the pandemic started because of online classes and online exams. I do better when I'm placed in a physically dynamic environment and when I can differentiate my approach to studies at home(do notes and memorise ) and school (understand concepts and make sure I'm up to date with everything). Having to attend classes from home screwed this up for me and the screen time just drains me physically. I am going to try to be more consistent and hard working in my daily studies so that I can stress myself out less in exams. Thanks again!

I really enjoy school and yes I do feel stressed, mainly worrying about not meeting my own expectations. Usually I still do fine on tests, but recently calculus 2 has been super hard for me. The professor is not very encouraging and the more he points out mistakes I just shut down in the class. I’ve never felt super anxious about tests but I have such high anxiety going into these tests that I have issues with my health and I sometimes cry after brutal lectures over the tests. I was currently studying for the class and needed a break and stumbled upon this video.
Today I had a test of 20 marks and I messed up at a major 5 marks question which finally had me ending up here, thanks Faye now I now i need to study hard and got some amazing tips from you.

I am a student of class 5 and Depression(?),Stress,Anxiety have become parts of my everyday life in 2021 :( I am the youngest in family so no one even bothers to know what am I going through :/ A problem of mine is that I don't have any interest in studying oh sorry memorizing EVERY SINGLE USELESS THING at all(example: Bengali grammer/Religion subjects) All we are taught is how to memorize long Q/As and write it down on exam paper in bookish language :/ I am kind of good in math,English and Science because I find them at least useful unlike other subjects.I am really bad at memorizing+I hate it and that's why I stay stressed because I have a reputation which I need to save at all cost :( Also I hate my parents. Once I got 55/60 In a Tuition Math exam(not even a school one) and my mom said many hurtful words :( I just can't seem to get my life back together even after trying hard :/ I lost hope cause yes I don't expect something REALLY GREAT done by me.I just want to read English Literature and become a professor but my present"golden" childhood is worse.
