I'm ready to get out. There should be recourse against the Fisker Company. I continue to be in touch with the AG in California and my home State. As this plays out anywhere Fisker sold cars there may come a day of reckoning. Karma is a bitch.
Like it or not, Adam's EV channel is very fair and thorough.
I own a FOU. I have driven it >10t miles and, beyond the typical issues with the fob and the weird alerts, had no issues so far. Given the low value of the car, I do not see a point in selling it. I will drive it till it falls apart or has a total due to a minor issue.

I don't own the car, but had followed the company for a while. I listened to some of the conference calls, and was always left shaking my head at much of Henrik said. I'd like to think that Henrik is just an idiot, but it seems he always walks away with a pile of cash, so I guess he's just a con artist.

FYI, on 5/28/24, Manheim Auction in Riverside Ca, sold about 15 Model ONE oceans, for $23700 to $24900 depending on color/wheel options. Just thought the investors would want to know!.. there are dozens of them around a few Auction sites….What a Shame..

For the price of one Fisker "Ocean" (you're out to sea, I guess), you could buy two mid-range hybrid Honda CR-Vs! Everything's ready for the road with those vehicles, except the "nose-in-the-air, I'm better than you" aesthetic. And you get two key fobs for each vehicle!

I'm keeping it for now. I paid $59k for an ultra before taxes, title and registration. If Adam got $25k for a sport, and new ultras sell for $35k, I think $25k was a good deal and I don't see me doing much better than that. I have insurance, we'll see what happens in 9 months to the rates. My car works well, drives really well; I've been luck so far in that I haven't had any real issues. I've owned 2 Teslas and I own a Rivian R1S. I drive Annapolis to Pittsburgh at least once a month; it's 260 miles going from sea level to 2600+ feet in the mountains and it's the only car I've ever had that can do the trip on a single charge (took 83% of the battery). Parts and Service are concern and i have no illusions that anything good for owners will come from Bankruptcy but I've spoken with the local service rep (he's no longer with the company) and he is working with some other service reps to set up a company to service Fiskers. He is the only good human experience I've had with Fisker and I'm hopeful that provides at least some support. Don't expect to keep the car forever; if I can make it until the R2 comes out that is probably all I can ask for. The hole thing is a shame, car had potential, it's a good design, and I think Magna did a good job building it. Outside of the design, not to see a single thing that Fisker the company contributed that wasn't a complete mess.

Yeah, but at the least Henrik Fisker should be prosecuted for lying to pump the stock and join Trevor Milton in jail. He knew there was no possibility let alone plans to make and sell 42,000 cars in 2023, Fisker didn’t have anything close to the capital needed to order the parts for that many cars, or the money to put people in place to deliver that many cars and provide customer service for them. Among many other lies.

"Early adaptors" there is no early adoption if its a finished product on a ahowroom floor, the adoption stops once it becomes a publicly available product, unless someone openly states " this product is far from finished many of its features are experimental and not fully fledged out and you might experience difficulties" there is no early adoption just a poorly made product the adopting happens inside the testing facility not with the customer

The chief puppeteer is the Note Holder. They want their cash now or at BK. When the end comes, they will not even shut off the lights...that will be done by the utility.
Now, cause now the cars value is a lot higher than afterwards.
But who knows how many are still in stock and in the condition everyone would exxpect. The graveyard finds or Frankenstein cars will not be sold or only for spare parts cause they are no longer cars if parts are missing.
@@typxxilps How many Oceans are in the hands of bag holders...I mean retail customers. Maybe 3,000. There will be an active parts market post BK. And of course, collectors will buy and hold. Only the most savvy types are buying now at $21k. But they stand to have an asset worth $100k in five years.

If you can get a couple Fisker's for 10K each it might be a good project as a whole house electrical backup and the other as a software development box. Maybe even as a butt-to-butt resuscitation box to charge up stranded EV's.

and in bankruptcy….the note holder gets first crack not the investors

Being a UK resident, I had to Google Fisker- I'd never heard of them. I had no idea they were a car maker. I doubt anyone outside the USA has any idea of their existence, either. So they were never going to compete with the multi-national corporations in the industry.
It was Henrik Fisker's second attempt at creating a car company.
Fisker Oceans were sold in Europe as well.
They were apparently assembled by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria. So some Europeans, at least, know or knew of their existence: they made 'em and shipped 'em to us poor, dumb Yankee wankers across the Pond.

Be pedantic if you want, but what's left is less than a skeleton crew. The people who matter in terms of improving the car are gone, as is the ability to grow service which would be important for supporting customers of all these cars they're trying to sell at auction. Really looks like they've retained just barely enough people to deliver the few remaining vehicles in a handful of markets, and that's it. Not much of an exaggeration to call this "everyone".

Karma is still on the street and it will need a serious proof. If they would be destroyed then the issue must be so big that all delivered cars will be taken out of the traffic too.

It's my understanding that the Karma software is largely for infotainment and nav, whereas Ocean software controls fundamental mechanical functions of the car and are not necessarily correctable by third-party sources. I guess I unintendedly stepped in a pit here.
@@edwardcooley4465 Fisker Automotive was sold in bankruptcy auction to a Chinese company that spent two years rewriting the software for the Fisker Karma and they are still I think selling new versions of it, so parts are available and the software works on the original models. And yes, the software does a lot less in that car.
Fisker Inc is very unlikely to find a buyer who rewrites the software and keeps parts available, and the biggest uh oh I see are two braking issue investigations. If they decide these braking issues require a recall, and there is no company to conduct a recall and fix the issue, what happens? I don’t know but maybe Ocean owners are denied when they try to renew registration or something, and insurance being cancelled seems super likely.
Wait be honest, are you sure Fisker is really going out of business? If they are, that's sad i mean the Ocean is actually nice looking car its just that it is missing a lot of features but the styling it gets a 8 out of 10

Here is what you do, Adam I think you should put together a documentary. Let’s say 30 minutes in length most people can keep their attention span for at least 30 minutes if it’s a good documentary, just on the Fisker family from the company Bankruptcy to this Bankruptcy and the first time around was taxpayers money Around with shareholders money in the amount of billions and billions of dollars they never use their money. It’s always other peoples money trying to build their family name up but at the cost of everyone else. Nepotism in this company has gone wild. It’s understanding that Henrik would be the CEO. Usually the founder of a company is the CEO but very rarely does the CEO make their wife the CFO in a publicly traded company. and she’s really the one that screwed everything up from $7 dollars a share clear to two cents a share, 99.82% Drop in just under a year.. I say you do it Adam 30 minute documentary just about the Fisker’s…..

i told them dont do it as henrick is super SUS. car were just ok even with the dumb gimmicks and good chance of not making it. and maybe look at rivian but too much money and they didnt want a truck at the time.

I'm so confused. I stumbled upon your channel while researching EVs and I was expecting Everything EV to have more than attacks on a start-up. Did you think that maybe your focus here is doing a lot of damage to the EV industry as a whole? And why the obsession? You must spend your whole day writing, recording, and editing these vids. I believe Henrik Fisker is the person to blame for the damages done to the EV industry. The videographer is merely reporting the facts and offering his experiences, confounding as they may be. And, yes, he apparently spends a considerable time doing these videos on this and other EV brands. I'm sure we can all learn from him and others who report on EVs and make up our own minds.

I also remember things like Ford stands for "Found On Road Dead" and the old Hyundais that were complete and total garbage. I'm sure Chevy faithful still make fun of Ford and Hyundai is now one of the most solid cars on the planet. Attacking a start-up for the first vehicles they produced is actually not very useful. There's always room for improvement for anything and everything. Acting like Fisker is somehow incapable of improving and therefore should go out of business is a weird stance to take. Dedicating a whole channel to daily negative videos is suspicious.

Electric Vehicles, or EVs, Are Not Cars
The government and auto industry wants us to believe that EVs are interchangeable with gas-powered vehicles.
EVs are not a “car” as we know them. EVs are experimental transportation devices that the government wants us to accept as a car replacement.
I believe the rollout of them was extremely premature. They look like cars, and seem to function like cars, but they are not cars.
Words and their traditional definitions matter.
Using the word car for an EV is misleading. I try to avoid it.
EVs are a completely different machine and when purchasing one that should be our mindset.
Replacements For Vital Machines (Evs For Cars) Must Outperform Their Predecessors To Be Universally Adopted
For a new product or invention, which an EV is, to replace a tried and true significant part of our daily lives, like our cars, it has to be a better choice.
Do EVs outperform cars in all important areas?
How should a car replacement be better?
1) Cheaper purchase price, lifetime maintenance and disposal.
2) Better performance, road handling and driving range.
3) As many or more locations to “refuel” and lower recharging times than refueling. Overall more convenient and time saving than gas powered vehicles.
4) Safer in all ways, including charging away from home.
5) Seamless and transparent replacement for our current experience with cars.
6) EVs should be less expensive to insure.
7) End of Life Disposal must be cheaper and more environmentally friendly.
How do EVs stack up in those five categories?
1) EVs are more expensive than gas-powered vehicles. Overall costs over time are much higher for EVs. Even if they were cheaper, the current negative impacts of the loss of convenience and functionality make EVs not worth replacing our cars with experimental replacements. Government subsidies paid to corporations and individuals approach $50,000 per EV. An EV is less functional, yet more expensive? Who thought of this great system?
2) EVs have much higher average horsepower, but other than that the driving experience is not much different and is sometimes deficient. Range anxiety is real and total miles available on a full charge falls terribly behind a full tank of gas.
3) Gas stations are much safer and more convenient than EV charging stations. On the road charging can average ten times longer than refueling with gasoline. EVs fail miserably here.
4) The level of danger using an unmanned EV charging station at night in a deserted parking lot is not tenable, compared to gas stations which have personnel, lights and security cameras. EV battery explosions are commonplace.
5) EVs are not a cheaper, more functional replacement for our cars.
6) A true car replacement would be cheaper to insure. Middle class families already can’t afford car insurance.
7) EV End of Life Disposal? Is there even a plan? What is the tested process for dismantling and disposing of the dead batteries? I am sure this will be very costly for the unfortunate consumer who is the last owner.
EVs fail on almost every measure.
This certainly does not make a great case for EVs.
Using EVs dramatically changes your entire driving experience, one of the most important parts of our daily lives.
There are so many unanswered questions about the impact on us if the government were to ban gas-powered vehicles in favor of EVs.
Mandating EVs will change our way of life.
As with other government experiments in the recent past, they want us to be the test subjects.
I propose we opt out of this government experiment and all others in the future.
Fad For Wealthier People
EVs are still a fad for wealthier people for the most part. Currently they are mostly an option for owners of free standing single family homes and less often owners of townhouses with a garage.
And even for those free standing single family homeowners, once you have more than one EV, it can quickly become impractical, cumbersome and unworkable.
There are government laws forcing apartment complex owners and townhouse communities to allow residents to install charging stations, but they are not widely used.
The vast majority of renters and townhouse owners don’t have the ability to purchase an EV as they can’t charge them nightly.
EVs require access to a power supply that can extend to your EV where they are parked overnight. While away from home needing a charge, you need to find a charging station.
For people who own free standing homes, with a traditional garage and driveway setup, this is relatively simple and most practical. But even then, a family with two or more EVs may not be able to charge all of them overnight. Once you expand beyond one EV, things begin to fall apart.
Many townhouse owners are in the same predicament as apartment renters.
Renters of any type of home usually don’t have the ability or finances to install the systems needed to charge an EV. They would also need permission from the landlord.
Even if an apartment complex or townhouse association installed a few, having this done on mass scale for all apartment and townhouse residents is not practical for decades to come, if at all.
Townhouses, although purchased as a residence, are more likely to be a temporary stop to a free standing home, and so installing a charging station may not be worth the investment.
Excluding these drivers will stall or make impossible the complete replacement of gas-powered vehicles with EVs.
So, what percentage of drivers are in free standing single family homes? This is the true market for EVs on the consumer level. And, again, only for one EV in the family.
Let’s take a look at the figures below.
It will tell us what % of us have severe barriers to entering the EV space.
132,000,000 (A) - USA Households
83,000,000 (B) - Detached single family homes
49,000,000 (C=A -B) - USA Households With Barriers To Entry Into EV Space
37.12% (D=C/A) - % USA Households With Barriers To Entry Into EV Space
233,000,000 (E) - Drivers In The USA
86,000,000 (D×E) - USA Drivers With Barriers To Entry Into EV Space
86,000,000 out of 233,000,000 U.S. drivers cannot practically transition to EV use.
This 37% of drivers who cannot use an EV is important to remember, as it impacts the rest of the problems EV owners face.
Safety Issues At Charging Stations On The Road
Again, remember, we are imagining a world where gasoline is no longer needed and so gas stations would become a novelty.
So, with only EVs in everyday use, there will be times we need to charge away from home. Where will this take place? There is some EV charging infrastructure built out, but there are many problems. And this is with a very small percentage of EVs on the road.
Imagine, again, that only EVs were allowed. The infrastructure needed is unfathomable.
And what is the infrastructure for remote charging going to look like?
I have serious concerns here as should you.
When we need gas, we simply find an open gas station.
Gas stations have security cameras and personnel when they are open.
We take these well lit locations with employees and security cameras for granted. These safety features do not exist at EV charging locations. Most will be in parking lots of retail shopping centers with no attendants.
This decreases security and increases waiting times. That is what they are proposing. We should not accept these severe regressions of course.
Parents, let me ask you. Would you accept your children going into dark and empty parking lots, when retail stores are closed, to charge up for 20 or 30 minutes by themselves with no personnel on site?
Of course you would not.
No security. No one in government is talking about this. Remember, they want to eliminate the safe gas stations that are an integral part of our culture and replace them with this.
This is just another barrier I don’t hear anyone discussing.
EVs are not interchangeable with gas-powered vehicles. They are a completely different machine. They are not cars.
Consumers need to demand the same level of security measures and functionality that gas stations provide.

Yeah, nobody wants faster quieter cars with more passenger space and more cargo space that can keep your dog cool while you shop in the summer and keep you warm overnight in the winter, or cars that can keep your power on at home while the rest of your neighbors suffer a power outage. Everyone loves paying more for fuel and not having the convenience of plugging in overnight. Everyone would rather die or be horribly mangled in a car crash instead of driving a Tesla and walking away unharmed.

20th of June Henrik Fisker will speak in public right after a spokesperson for TATA group. He might publicly announce bankruptcy but that wouldnt really make sense.
It might also be a speech to follow up on an announcement by TATA group that theyve been acquired. The Fisker One would perfectly fit into the LandRover fleet next to the Evoque and Tata needs electric cars for their fleet consumption and CO2 emissions which are terrible based on sales in the EU.

Fiskers filed chapter 11 today ... and over here in Europe here some owners haven't heard the bells yet. They want to sell their one year old Fiskers Ocean for about 60k USD. I guess, they will be in for a bad surprise.

Does your state do inspections? How much will insurance be when there’s no company? Do you have the FAST tool required to recalibrate all the windows after the 12v battery dies? Where do you get a replacement 22” wheel if you bend a rim? I could continue…
As you may recall, I purchased my FOE a little less than a month ago and I really have no option but to hang on to the car. I've taken too many baths on going from a Model S Plaid, to a Taycan 4S, to a Model X Plaid, and now the Ocean. All of which have caused me great pain and frustration due to issues. I'm on 2.1, which has been error free and I don't have anything else wrong with the vehicle.
I've shifted from being optimistic to being pessimistic and because I only drive about 3K miles per year and don't have to depend on it as my main form of transportation, I am just going to continue to drive the damn thing. I was well aware that this was a risk I was willing to take so, "it is what it is".

I suggest to get at least 2 for cheap cause you will be able to keep 1 running for quite a long time and get tthe money back from the battery.
Here the batteries would be sold quite easily, there are enough experts and those who are willing to spend time to build a home storage battery.
Nissan Leaf Canbus has been decrypted and many more which makes such packs useable as a whole unit or in parts, I mean a 40 kWh or 60 kWh battery can be used in parts or fully without a big deal.
And I bet the USA will have even more of these guys with expertise and will to make benefits out of the batteriy cells.
You can get a LFP Fisker Ocean One the 75 kWh edition and simply slaughter the cells, one by one and then build DIY batteries out of that. Look at the current prices and you will see that you will get a lot of money just from selling 5x 15 kWh. Those are not cheap.
We do not have DC regulations. Our regulations start from Solarpower to inverter, but not the DC side. We only have to report about the capacity but no one on the utility side has any clue about this. It is more or less a collection of statistic data how much battery storage is installed in Homes and private vehicles.

Every minute of your videos makes me so happy I was able to dump it. Probably would’ve sold sooner but I had a hardware problem that made it unsellqble. After a couple months of being the squeakiest wheel possible with daily calls to them and nasty social media posts, I got it fixed. In retrospect I was as lucky as someone who lost 30 grand could be.
I feel this way as well.
