Made this yesterday evening using roma tomatoes and followed the recipe. Probably would have been a lot better with higher end tomatoes maybe? Will not make again with romas that's for sure!
For years, I would make chili with my garden tomatoes and onions. As well as other soups. Now it seems that I only grow tomato plants for the deer to eat. 🙁
Lovely recipe! only I never add sugar. Neither did my grandmother. We like fresh tomatoes and soup exactly how they taste. I'm going to try this one without sugar 😊
Do you know how hard it will be to cut up my precious tomatoes for soup? Soup has always been a winter food. Eating hot soup in the hot summer... boy, I don't know if I can? Sure looks good, tho. We'll see. Hopefully my wife can push me over the edge.
I’ve been making this for 3 years. You can make the base and freeze it for making later. I love adding a bit of cream when before serving. I also like putting sone cloves when I cook the vegetable. And a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
I’m going to guess that you hail from one of the following states. Missouri, Oklahoma or, Tennessee? Yes? If no, your state at least touches, one of the 3 states that I mentioned.
That is scrumptious looking and it's a good childhood memory for me and tomato soup is my favorite definitely making this, thanks.i l9ve to watch your channel😊
I've been using the Amish White Bread recipe for a while to make a good grilled cheese but have been using canned soup to go along with it. After watching this, I can see that I need to start a garden, grow lots of tomatoes and use this recipe to really do the meal justice. Thank you.
Excellent! 💖🌻 My MIL died at 94, she didn’t have “fancy” seasonings like garlic. She used tomatos she canned, seeds & all, she mashed it up so a little chunky like Bisque, no skin. Homemade is The Best. The day she died she made chicken & dumplings for her boys. And the best Chocolate Pound Cake ever. Good memories.
I have like zero experience cooking, but one thing that I dislike about a lot of cooking tutorials as they don’t have like temperatures or how long I should cook it exactly or how much of each ingredient I should use I don’t wanna eyeball it because I’m bad at ratios
"Like a warm hug."
I like that.
Where’s the recipe ? “ a little bit a sugar a little bit of salt” doesn’t help much. How much per spoon is it ?
This was so good and fresh tasting. My sons loved it and asked for it to be in our meal rotation ❤
Ooohhh i luv this!!! Simple quick n easy w/ my grill chz 'sammich'😂 thank uuuu!!
Such a perfect meal with that grilled cheese (add basil leaves to that sandwich before grilling!). Great recipe, Nicole, thanks so much! 😘
Oh what a great idea! I’ve never thought of adding basil leaves to my grilled cheese sandwich Thanks 😊
That's a perfect simple recipe, nice one. Thanks...

That’s what happen to me now lol too many tomatoes
Oh wow a super easy and simple rec- *pulls out food mill* ahh ok next. There's just no such thing as an easy recipe is there.
I’m drooling 😋 🍅 🍅 🍅👍
Gazpacho for summer!
That's not gazpacho
Try mixing few chunks of pineapple instead of white sugar
Probably more healthier and tastier option
Can this be frozen in mason jars? Our farmers markets here do these huge baskets of canning tomatoes and I am not big on frozen ones, but this ????
Wow sis 😍💓💓💓😍💓💓💓
That looks so freakin delicious🙃
Anybody know the amount of the ingredients she used or she just eyeballed it

Stain the seeds
You forgot to add white pepper
what a load of rubbish....the sauce you put into the roo thingy was enriched by what???
I make tomato soup on a regular basis & have never put flour in to thicken. There's really no need to.
Boy this just in time. I have a counter full of tomatoes. Looks delicious. Thanks Nicole.
I really don't think a lot of people understand just how basic soups are to make for the reward.
What reward? It’s soup lol ya know like a soup kitchen where poor people go ewww 😂
@@yepyep7629thought you cooked

Absolutely, doesn't need sugar if you are using good quality tomatoes
Cream cuts the acid and tastes ways better than sugar
