That's my earliest attendance to a Channel Frederator video. Now I have something else to show my online friend, he really loves Courage the Cowardly Dog!
In all honesty, this show never scared me as a kid, but man did it make me cry like a baby and still does. Especially Remembrance of Courage's Past. Love this show
Mr. Hamilton as Ham probably because they wanted to Take a Break while you were staring at a dog using a computer and his own wits to save his elderly owners.
Same, once when I saw that broken trumpet dude again I probably flipped my device over because I couldn't find where to mute his upcoming creepy voice that I hated the first time I heard it.
Courage was one of my favorite cartoons growing up. It's amazing to see just how much work was put into it, and it's very clear that Dill had a vision and stuck with it. If only cartoons today could takes some notes
The mask is by far my favorite episode. It's just so creepy and serious. The way it handles darker, more adult topics is brilliant and extremely well played out.
"Return the slab" scarred me as a kid, especially since we had big green bushes outside our play room window; those windows were big single glass panels with no curtains lol
Looking through the whole 107 facts page and finally found this one about my favorite show as a kid posted five days ago, I got total nostalgia watching this
King Ramses song was my favorite for the longest. I also loved the Cajun Fox, Pond Witch, Katz, Fungus Foot, and Ware-Mole battle vs Courage as he did laundry episode. So many I adored from this show!
Only problem I have with the "Courage's owners are too old and he just doesnt know whats out there" theory is that they constantly leave the house and go all over the world lol so thats a major hole.
The extension of the theory I understood that the international places he visited were just places that he saw while Muriel and Eustace were watching television. The other, smaller places were all areas that even older folks would go to a on a general basis, like a grocery store or a craft shop.
oh my lord--- 107 facts about my top fav cartoon of all time and you guys uploaded on my birthday //actually its on 29th but I live in Malaysia and its already 29 here so it counts//. Thank you so much @Channel Frederator!! Best birthday gift evaaaaar~~~ ♥♥♥
I hope Courage doesn't return. Why? It'd be a travesty like TTG and PPG reboot unfortunately. Wish it wouldn't be the case but if it'd return it most likely would be.
This cartoon was one of the handful of times I cried as a kid due to a cartoon. Not out of fear but out of sadness due to seeing the episode showcasing the backstory of how Courage was adopted in by Muriel. Man I miss seeing this on CN. Along side KND.
Saw the pilot aired on Cartoon Network and was hooked from day one. When the episodes started coming out, I was overjoyed. Especially with that episode where the chickens come back!
Ikr I Loved The Part When The Tree Got Chopped By Eustace, Courage Runs On A Skinny Mountain On onto A Boulder And Then Screams So Loud The Sun Shattered XD XD XD HILARIOUS
Ikr I Loved The Part When The Tree Got Chopped By Eustace, Courage Runs On A Skinny Mountain On onto A Boulder And Then Screams So Loud The Sun Shattered XD XD XD HILARIOUS
This show is the reason I always end up reading creepy pastas and watching those cursed videos around 2am every night, Courage was always scary and I always covered my eyes, but curiosity always pushed me to peek at what happened even if it never made it less scary for me with time
When I was younger (like, 6 or 7) my family lived in a house in a community with a pool. The dividing line between the houses and the pool was just a long line of bushes and trees. My brother and I found a space in the bushes and turned it into a fort. We affectionately called it the Katz Motel because we loved this show.
As if we needed *more* reasons to love Mr. Dilworth or Courage! Thank you, thank you for this list and thank you, Mr. Dilworth for this beautiful masterpiece! It's obvious he adored this show, and it shows in every single episode!
My entire life is a lie! This WHOLE FRIGGIN TIME, I thought Courage was purple, not pink. You can't just drop that bit of info on me like that and just run on to the facts. IT AIN'T RIGHT! Dx
Courage's dialogue decreased after the first season. This is because the creators at Cartoon Network thought Courage "talked too much" and wanted his dialogue cut short. The names Muriel and Eustace are taken from the middle names of Chandler Bing and Ross Geller of Friends (1994). Lionel Wilson (Eustace) quit halfway through the series and was replaced by Arthur Anderson. Whenever Courage takes action to rescue his owner(s) from peril, a variation of the Mission: Impossible (1966) theme is heard playing. This theme varies with each episode, depending on what musical arrangement is being used in that episode. Tim Chi Ly, who voices the recurring character Di Lung, was one of the show's animators. This was voice director Peter Fernandez's favourite show that he worked on. * One of the few oddities John Dilworth willingly explained was the hole in Courage's tooth: it's a symbol that nature is imperfect, and how one can still affirm in life when they know that evil exists. * Also according to Dilworth, Muriel was interested in another man during her youth, but Eustace, through some unknown dark deed, somehow managed to win her over.
107 KaBlam! facts please! Fact #59 - The episodes I remember the most are The Last of the Starmakers, The Hunchback or Nowhere, Journey to the Center of Nowhere (the one with the eggplants) and the Tower of Dr. Zalost.
I remember an episode of Courage the cowardly dog where Courage, Muriel and Eustace traveled to a banana dimension. And the main thing I remember from that episode was that Courage had to go use the bathroom and the toilets where gendered, but because the signs both looked exactly the same he didn’t know which one to go into so at first he went into the women’s bathroom on accident.
That motorboat scene with Dr. Girbil sounds like the singing of the background of Sonne by Rammstein I loved the music 🎶 especially tower of Dr. Zalost
I never realized how realistic the wood actually looked until you mentioned that. Huh... Also, Courage the Cowardly Dog was my favorite show as a kid, but also the show that made me very apprehensive when CGI started to become a norm in the animation industry xD King Ramses, everywhere! (I'm curious to see how you didn't mention the last episode, though, which was beautiful in its own right)
I'm still looking for the music part of the episode Tower of Zalost where the tower collapsing and everyone returning to normal. That part of the soundtrack for that episode was splendid. Very beautiful and unofficial.
I thought the phrase was "Watch where you're going ya fool!". I could be wrong, that's just how I remember it. the most memorable time was when he said it with a big yaoi fist.
Whenever I see a episode of Courage, especially a weird one, I always thought what mad man could have come up with this piece of madness. Then I see a picture of Dilworth and everything makes so much senses.
This video made me so happy and sad at the same time. I miss my childhood, where the biggest worries I had revolved around food choice and what games to play during break time. Someone build a time machine already!
My favorite episode is "The Windmill Vandals" and my favorite music piece is the one that plays in "The Hunchback of Nowhere" when the Hunchback and Courage are playing with the bells.
Some questions still inanswered, why does Eustace hate courage so much? Why don't Eustace and Muriel have any children? Why do they live in the middle of nowhere?
There was also an episode where Eustace sees his mom for Mother's day and his she pays Courage more attention than her own son. He's always felt neglected. Which probably explains why he is the way he is.
Special thanks to David Steven Cohen for the intro! What show should we do next?!

I hope Courage doesn't return. Why? It'd be a travesty like TTG and PPG reboot unfortunately. Wish it wouldn't be the case but if it'd return it most likely would be.
Depends if the original writers and people care about the show
QVear the original creator wants a revival. If he is working on it, it will be good
QVear People need to learn the difference between a revival and a reboot. A reboot is like a reimaging. A revival is a continuation.
Courage the Cowardly Dog had a true sweetness about it. There was real heart and kindness in between all of the wonderful weirdness.
Courage's screaming scares the daylights out of me at a young age and made me cry. Eustace shouting "STUPID DOG" calms me down.

Some questions still inanswered, why does Eustace hate courage so much? Why don't Eustace and Muriel have any children? Why do they live in the middle of nowhere?
Eustace is probably jealous that Muriel babies him and pays more attention to him than she does Eustace
It is hinted in the show Eustace hates Courage because he is jealous of the attention he gets from Muriel
There was also an episode where Eustace sees his mom for Mother's day and his she pays Courage more attention than her own son. He's always felt neglected. Which probably explains why he is the way he is.
I loved Courage the Cowardly Dog and would love to see it come back
WHO STILL FLINCHES WHEN THEY SEE KING RAMSES FACE?
11:32 just be glad it wasn't played
I remember owning Scooby Doo and the Witches Ghost on VHS with the Courage the Cowardly Dog pilot!!!!!!
