Thank you for actually showing the left side of the rifle and angeled from the top and inside without the bolt. A lot of weapon reviews forget those angels and how important it is to get a better overview of the rifle.
I have one in 308. Its one of those that all are compared to or the one you take out of the safe just to check that its not the nut behind the bolt. I think these are no longer produced. I feel privileged to own one and purchased for $899 back in 09 from buds.
I havent tried anything that light so far, at 100m ive had gread success with hornady SP 55gn (sub moa after load development) and ive had gread success with hornady match 68gn bthp.
I’m seriously considering a Tikka T3X CTR in 6.5 Creedmore and 24” barrel. I’d love a TGS review, there are several out in YT land but none done with your style and substance.
I have a Tikka CTR Stainless in 6.5 Creedmoor. It averages under 0.5 MOA for 5-shot groups with 140 gr Hornady ELD-Ms. I can't recommend them enough. The one thing that I like about the CTR (other than prices) over the Varmint is that the CTR magazine is a double stacked metal mag. You can literally carry twice the ammo.
I was resting on the extended mag on the door frame of my truck when when I fired off a .308 - got the deer but the mag fell apart ! Just as well no follow up shot needed - The rifle is great but the Mag is a shit. My 2 cents
yeah kinda but life is too short fr ugly guns, especially us europeans often have limits on how many guns we can own, so I like mine with a little more ownersjoy
I have had 3, no problems with either of them My main rifle now is a schultz and larsen, the bolt travel is the best in the market I might get a 6,5 tikka now again
Rimfires are a big no no, it is not a good idea long term with centrefires. However with many modern designs of centerfire bolt, it is unlikely to cause any more damage than firing it with a cartridge or snap cap in.
This rifle has threaded barrel and that is exactly what I am looking for. However in Canada the same rifle comes without threads on the barrel. Is this US, EU or some other country version of the rifle?
I bought one last week and had to send it back after only 6 shots as the flutted bolt was not smooth and almost jammed when loading and it was damaging the action anyone had this problem? Just waited 2 months for it to arrive and had it for one day absolutely gutted but i had to refuse the rifle as it was damaging itself
@Will Manes I've tried and have gone as far as prepaying for 1 with Tikka or a distributor but no luck. I couldn't agree more as far as minimal damage to whitetail, drops them like a sac of potatoes everytime. Best wishes and happy hunting sir

I love my Supervarmint, had the action pillar bedded, it shoots half inch groups at 100 meters. That action is just super smooth.
I just bought a tikka t3x varmint in 204 but can't get it 2 group 40 grain hornady superformance any ideas what's wrong
Thanks for this superb review. 👍👍 I've just bought one in 6.5x55se off the back of it. What a cracking rifle...
the action is the best out of any bolts ever so solid no floppy noisy crap like other companies.

Where did you get the stainless one?
How much does the rifle weight? What’s the length of the barrel? Can you use the MDT & AICS Magazines in it?
Where did u but it from I can’t find the heavy barrel on it
How much weits in 30 06 this Tikka and how long is?
So good it is boring, the volvo of firearms

but life is too short fr ugly guns, especially us europeans often have limits on how many guns we can own, so I like mine with a little more ownersjoy
Yeah Bee Tikka's are lovely...try one, especially with a wood stock. You won't get a better more reliable, more accurate tool.
I have had 3, no problems with either of them
My main rifle now is a schultz and larsen, the bolt travel is the best in the market
I might get a 6,5 tikka now again
Yeah Bee Nice, 6.5 Grendel or Creedmoor? On a Tikka either will be a very capable round.
What size barrel does it have
Very nice. Is it generally ok to dry fire rifles?
Well it will wear and tear

The other thing that you can do. Squeeze the trigger as your closing the bolt and the firing pin were released slowly and not slam forward
Any suggestions for mounting a Pic rail for a bipod?
where did you get this stainless super varmint?

This is a factory spec. If you speak to your dealer they will be able to get one, but it may take some time.
The Gun Shop Thanks a where are you located? Canada or somewhere else?

Please do a Review of the Hatsan Escort semiautomatic 12 bore??
Tika odličan lovački karabin🔟
I dont agree with the night vision part simply because they are illegal in scandinavia for hunting
you can get a permit for them. night hunting pigs in a wheatfield may be the most exciting hunting you can do
You sure? Not in Finland I think.
Are these barrels threaded on or heat shrunk on?
threaded
Is this for sale in the shop??
If so, price please???
Afraid it was a customer order!
That model not sold in the US! Boosheet
You should be able to special order it, we can special order all american an european models, as long as you can be patient for 6 months plus...
