*Public Service Announcement:*
You cannot reach the crash site on foot. It exists in an entirely separate area from your main world.
Instead, an NPC spawns at your village that gives you binoculars. These binoculars lead you to a rebel-occupied cave that takes you to the aforementioned separate area, where the crash site is located.
If you've been walking towards the crash site without the binoculars, you're gonna have to go all the way back home.
ALSO enemies are automatically disabled when you try to create a sandbox world. You will need to scroll down into world settings BEFORE you create the world, and manually reenable enemies. If you already made a world, you're out of luck as you cannot change the settings after creating said world.
Live events at 2am is amazing
I know I'm late on this, but it's not a one-time thing. This happens a few minutes after you log into any of your worlds.

This just confirms that the zero point is fine because when you think about it the zero point is connected to rifts the rifts are from the zero point the zero point made the rifts originally so that just confirms that the zero point is still here its just under the map like always it just hasn't been revealed yet or taken out yet and why would they try to study the zero point if it doesn't exist anymore so this and the chapter 5 season 1 storyline confirms that the zero points fine
or they could have came through the atmosphere in the map, just like in the collision event

Are enemies available in sandbox? I can't find them at the crash site
Ye they are
When you first make the map,you can choose some settings like enable enemies or like friendly fire, ect. I think that when you were making the map you probably disabled enemies so that is why they arent showing up.

When you make a new sandbox world, you need to scroll down in the world settings and manually flip the "Allow Enemies" switch to "on," as it is turned off by default.

*PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:* You do NOT need to do this quest in survival.
When you create a new world and set it to "Sandbox," enemies are automatically disabled. HOWEVER, you can actually scroll down in world settings and reenable enemies BEFORE you create the world.
Remember! Once you create the world, you're stuck with the settings you have, so choose carefully.

It doesn't happen the moment you log into a Lego Fortnite world. You need to log in, then wait a few minutes before it happens.

The start was hope to go back to Battle royal then it became a disaster
The event doesn't even happen anymore and the captain spawns in as soon as you load in, she gives you the binoculars and that's it. LEGO Fortnite is pure garbage filled with bugs
I was looking for info on this. The main campaign ran until May 14th, so maybe that's why it doesn't show the star destroyer anymore?
