Unfortunately dbd is one of those games that require a bit of roleplay to work as “the devs intended”. Part of that means survivors don’t stay on gens as you approach them.
Just like survivor meter goes up if Killer is next to them when they are hooked, gen speed should increasingly slow down the louder the killer terror radius is. That's how you remove gen rushing happening in front of the killer's face which just looks weird for a horror game
Huh, first time I've heard of something like that. Sort of like a basekit Unnerving Presence except with direct slowdown instead of more and smaller skill checks
@@Ouroboros619 There's also an idea where if a survivor is injured while doing a generator, the generator blows up because the survivor snaps back from the pain, therefore messing up something on the gen. Obviously this would also work on gen grabs where the killer won't lose the gen because they are carrying someone while another survivor finishes it
@@cremlindor6607 I like the idea of these small implements to give killers more basekit regression that aren't as impactful as true regression perks but they're *something*. 7 stacks of dying light is 21% slower gens. That equates to an extra 18 or so seconds added onto the gen. 7 hooks for an extra 18 seconds is really not that good considering how long it takes to even get there. @TrU3Ta1ent, I do think you are a great player and content creator. I do not agree with you on the fairness of Tunneling. While I agree with you that Tunnel Vision is what is meant by the definition of Tunneling - which means I agree that Survivors Tunnel generators while Killers Tunnel Survivors. What I do not agree with you on is how there should be Anti-Tunnel mechanics for Killers against Survivors. It is so much easier for a Killer to down a Survivor than it is for a Survivor to complete a generator. That is what makes this game asymmetrical: there are certain things that Killers can do and Survivors cannot (like dealing damage). And there are some things that Survivors can do that Killers cannot (collect items). There are also no special powers for Survivors, while each Killer has their own Power which is unique to them. Survivors still have nerfed items. I would say if generators were completed in a faster time than they are being completed now, then bring on the Anti-Tunnel mechanics to help Killers. But because of incompetence in solo queue, smaller maps, and long repair time - there are more kills than escapes.
There are no special powers for survivors? Exhaustion perks? Blinds? Pallets? Fast vault? Endurance? Medkits? Toolboxes with Sabo? Pebble? And the most important special power the survivors have is the fact that there are four of them that can work in concert with eachother... that and Discord. Discord is probably the most powerful thing survivors have.
