TFL boats are actually really good boats and I love the zonda because its got twin motors that run counter rotating which makes it very stable.

This is based on an actual race boat.
The boat itself is basically a scale version of the Outerlimits 43 SV and there was indeed a noat sponsored by Lucas Oil. Also, that overhanging thingy in the back, is called a bustle.

Wow 😲 Now that’s a BOAT! I don’t own a boat but was looking at the 4s model that’s been on a lot of videos feiyue f11 I think but this is even better 6s power nice! But price is the determining factor, not sure if I’ll like the rc boats so afraid to spend lots on one until I know

I do wish instead of tape to hold the cap part down if it had a system like the Xmaxx bodies do

    Okay...Now, you're a saint :-P
it's a nice looking boat. I like it. It's nice. clean and simple on the inside.
You can always install a 4068-4092.(it'll fit 550 mount) just get 5mm to 4mm adaptor...
if the 3660 inst fast enough on 6s.lol

Does it really matter if you run a surface, or air transmitter and receiver? Or is it just a matter of preference?
That is a nice boat, and I have never owned an r/c boat, but we have a nice big reservoir a mile away that would be plenty big enough to run it in. I might just have to invest in one of these beauties.
    Thanks for another awesome video.

    • @RCTanksTrucks247
      @RCTanksTrucks247  6 лет назад

Cheers brother. I am to sure about the receiver but I don't think that it matters.

      It's just preference or Habits.
If you're used to taxing an air plane..it's not a big deal.
A boat will behave like that ( no breaks)
I prefer pistal grip on my surface contraptions.
YOU NEED ONE of these boats.....
The brushless/lipo combination makes it so much safer and easier than nitro boat. I always hated messing with the nitro around boats,
even thou I was use to airplans....becuase you're not walking on level ground
      around banks...ect
      Be safe....There's still a prop.

I was thinking the same thing, use a surface setup for surface rigs, and vice versa. I tried an air setup for a car, and it didn't work out too well.

it;s just habits...I do R/C for many reasons. It helps my eye site...becuase
I exercise my pupils. It also helps my focus..as in my mind..
      It helps reaction time...
Im older....I need to exercise everything.
My mind and body....I take my RC for walks.lol
      Tinkering helps me problem solve.
Anyways....it's the samething when you transfer from fix wing to Heli
When I fly fix wing...I watch the NOSE of the model more..
When I first learn how to fly Heli....I had to learn how to watch the tail...
      It's backwards...I had lots of brainfarts.lol
But our mind and body will adjust after it goes through a learning curve.
Robot guys are used to air type TX to operate thier contraptions.
Im not a robot guy....Pistol grip for surface stuff for me.

    • @AB-80X
      @AB-80X 6 лет назад

It does not matter. It's often a question of what you like and are used to. Back in the late 80's when I started out, most controls were stick control. Later on the pistols became more popular, but sticks were the norm. So no, it's not important. Plenty of car and boat racers whom are using sticks.

@@RCTanksTrucks247 how's the gel coat and paint finish on TFL boats? Does the tape ever make the paint come off due to peeling off the tape after you run the boat?

  • @jameslyons1978

Ps the word your looking for to describe the 'thickness' of the boat is freeboard, all the best
