Blumhouse didn’t make this, they bought the distribution rights to it
True, but to be fair, Focus Features was the one who bought the distribution rights first during its TIFF premiere and then when the first teaser was released Blumhouse just joined in as a surprise.

I like how those wishing stick things are also next to some voodoo dolls. It makes me wonder if both products are made by the same company. Imagine if the movie ends with someone buying one of those dolls tease the plot of a potential sequel.
Or the girl obsessed with him buys it and uses it against him.

A cursed voodoo doll that starts to hurt you as much as you try to hurt the other person would be a great idea for one of these movies. Always a fan of cursed item horror movies

While i do not know if that is how it will play out in the final film, i love that when he makes is wish, she's just there. Like in the candyman reboot - When they say his name 5x, there is not big arrival or anything, he is just there. They are even oblivious to the fact that the candyman came.
She just shows up, yup.

I've been following 'That's A Bad Idea' for years, and to see Curry's first feature film come to fruition is highly inspiring. Just like Racka Racka, The Phillipou brothers, and other filmmakers on the platform we are withessing a shift in the medium. Albeit most are horror, it seems RUclips is becoming a gateway to the big screen. Hail to all the future directors, cinematographers, screenwritiers, costume designers, editors, special FX teams, VFX artists, etc.
