honestly biggest mistake 2k made was removing Monta Ellis Animations. His Jumpshot and layups were BUTTER! But yea money definitely ruined 2K. i still play 2k14 .
Yeah anyone saying 16 wasn't good just doesn't like simulation basketball games. Every mode worked, the mechanics were the cleanest and the parks were fun, MyTeam was the best it ever was and the overall aesthetic was on par with a 2K14. Game was an all around great basketball game. Did it have issues? Yes, but not that many, it kept me on the game far longer than any 2K.
I played every 2K ever up until 2K21. 2K10-2K16 was probably the best era of 2K. Whichever 2K had that Asian chick in the MyCareer mode was the one that made me hate playing 2K.
Me too bro. Exactly the same, I didn’t have 09, and 10 but my homies had it and I loved it. But 11-20 I had a streak. 21 and proudly this 25 are the ones I have not bought.
I think an interesting concept to the yearly game idea is just release updates you’re able to purchase for cheaper. Same game, updates for rosters available for purchase, win win for all.
2K16 is the best 2K simple as that 16 and 17 is where it actually took skill to win games now game is rng and embarrassing to play. A lot of these so called “good players” the way they play in 25 they’ll be trash in those two games no cheating no bs just straight skill and hoops 16 will forever be the greatest 2K to ever exist. 💯 In 2K16 bs rarely happened and post scoring sure wasn’t as op as it is now I used to be able to stop Post Scorers on my 6”7 balanced PG no problem now they constantly make tight layups over my 6”6 skilled stretch with 93 interior and legend PL with bronze pain patroller and Legend enforcer game is embarrassing.
2K12 was my first 2k game and it's still the best one that I've ever played. 2K20 was the last one that I bought. I won't even touch another 2k game. They literally have casino's in MyPlayer and "it's not gambling". SMH
NBA 2K has fallen off since 2K18. Ever since that disaster things haven't been the same, and this is coming from someone that enjoyed 2K19 when it first dropped.
I believe I’m on my last 2k, I have 25, have actually had most of them and all of them since 2k6 but not as interested anymore, I don’t like the shooting either
i had the same thought that games like nba, fifa and other sports games shouldn't release yearly or even cost 100$ since the biggest impacts are just updated the rosters and a new park. Great video! 👍
free game where they have skill points and vc. skill points are only for upgrading your myplayer and can only be made from playing games in the park, rec, practice drills. etc. vc only can be purchased through microtransactions and can be used to purchase sp to upgrade you myplayer and for cosmetics.
definitely not, cause we had some great 2ks before. 2k11, 2k13, 2k14, 2k15, 2k16, 2k17, 2k19, 2k20, just to name a few. the problem is laziness and lack of competition. notice how nba live quit after 19 and 2k started releasing trash minus 2k20. they know people will buy no matter what because they have the basketball genre in a monopoly. a solution they could make is to have two teams working on the game, kind of like how cod has activision and treyarch. that way each team has a 2 year window to create a game instead of 1 year. they definitely have the money and resources to get it done. but since they make too much money with their current system I don't see them making any changes. the consumer at the end of the day is the ones to be blamed. unless the community boycotts the game or a true competitor arises, I don't have any hope for 2k returning to its glory. my 2 cents of the matter. here is hoping gta 6 sets the bar higher for games to be peak again.
I used to disagree with 2k when they’d release a patch where a majority of contested shots go in, now they added a mechanic wheee people basically don’t even have to know a persons jump shot to green it the shot stick bs being “more skilled” bruh it’s a 70% bigger green window. Missing that basically means you have no thumbs and a smooth brain. The bigger skill mechanic was definitely the aiming one but they couldn’t keep it because of cheaters… I stopped playing this game months ago, I wish I never bought it I promise this the last 1 ever.
I got 2k20 and it got huge flaws. I have a list of 19 things that trash. A few like They got modern players on classic teams like Devin Harris on the 65 Celtics and Jodie Meeks on the 86 Celtics...and these players make these teams lose. It takes away from the Classic teams. The Blatant cheating. They cheat for you a few minutes, then cheat for the CPU for a few minutes, rinse and repeat. Gets old. Miss every shot and almost every pass is a turnover during the cheating. The crowd is NEVER full no matter the mode. I played in playoff mode and the stands still 75% full. The mods make it decent, but overall trash
People didn’t like 17 because all the games before it were actually good so it made 17 look not as good when it came out until all the games after 17 were worst than 17 which is why they are looked at ass good now same thing go for 20…2k20 was not as good as the games before it but way better than the games after it…its just facts not nostalgia
2k vid with the persona music in the back? I think I’ve found my people🙏😂 seriously though i went back and played 2k11-16 on a spree kinda. The effort for myleague and career is at an all time low it’s sickening. The myleague has been my main mode for years. It’s already deep they don’t gotta add much. It’s the sliders and contracts that kill it for me. They will have 80+ overall sitting in free agency. Teams will sign 2 star guards and have one coming off the bench. Teams don’t star hunt. They don’t trade superstars after years of falling short. It’s the little stuff like that has been a problem for years. Im done with 2k for now. I plan to get a pc and mod it so i only gotta buy a 2k every 3 years or so
GTA 6 drops this year 2k is overcooked nb buying ts this year no matter if it’s good or not and it’s very rare that it’ll be good their last chance was 2k25😂😂
Once NBA Live stopped being seen as good competition for 2k it was over from there and then they stopped making games which allowed 2k to take over just like how EA took over football video games
Greed and money also there’s no saving this company and game they need to experience something like Concord or something like what blizzard is going to the Marvel rivals and POE2 that
honestly biggest mistake 2k made was removing Monta Ellis Animations. His Jumpshot and layups were BUTTER!
But yea money definitely ruined 2K. i still play 2k14 .
His layup stayed in the game but was under other players layup packages or it was just called “circus”
Idc what anyone says NBA2k16 is the best 2k and I’m still playing MyGM.
On what system
same bro same....
Facts!
Beyond the greatest

2k18 had the that girl in it.
I just hate the fact that we can’t even play older 2k, like at least with call of duty you can go and play on the servers
Fr
2k17 is my personal favorite, I admired having justice on my team and the whole ‘orange juice’ dynamic
NBA2K so realistic the way it went downhill just like NBA in real life. I heard somebody say Art imitates Life well I'd be damned 😂
The graphics in 2k have regressed so much since 2k22 same thing with the ps4 era after 2k14 the graphics just began regressing idk why 2k does this
since 17 released
I’m my opinion, after 2k20 they lost it.
Yep 19 was the last great 2k
Still playing 2k20 here 1000hrs now
No. 2K16 was the last good 2K.
Nah after 17 they stopped trying
I think an interesting concept to the yearly game idea is just release updates you’re able to purchase for cheaper. Same game, updates for rosters available for purchase, win win for all.
I think only the OG 2K players remember the Skill Points🥲
Fr🥲
Great video!!! 2K has fallen off real bad…I only play the first one on Dreamcast all the way until 2K17.
Please turn back on the NBA 2K16 servers.
U could say the same for them bs WWE2ks 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️ as a gamer it’s disappoints they continue to go backwards 💯
Ever since THQ shut down WWE was never the same

2K16 is probably my second favorite ever behind 2K11. Such a shame that microtransactions pretty much have ruined it.
14-16 were the best 2ks
2k16 to 2k19 were the golden years
2K12 was my first 2k game and it's still the best one that I've ever played. 2K20 was the last one that I bought. I won't even touch another 2k game. They literally have casino's in MyPlayer and "it's not gambling". SMH
2K13 and 2K14 were really nice
NBA 2K has fallen off since 2K18. Ever since that disaster things haven't been the same, and this is coming from someone that enjoyed 2K19 when it first dropped.
5:27 thank you someone said it… I always said 20 was ahh😂
Me too bro you not getting me in that Park shit Still playing 2k14,17,20 to this day
I believe I’m on my last 2k, I have 25, have actually had most of them and all of them since 2k6 but not as interested anymore, I don’t like the shooting either

FC is the first to win the race with FC 25 Showcase (F2P fifa) hopefully 2K and the other sports games follow along

2k running the same engine since 2k20 with tweaks. Even going to 9th gen they didnt build from the ground up like 2k14.
No competition = no progress
Man I still remember that 2k14 99 overall myplayer glitch.
Old 2ks way better
Yearly releases are apart of the problem. College football is gonna go right the hell down the same road & jump off a cliff
definitely not, cause we had some great 2ks before.

2k16 rocks, its a great joke to disable mycareer mode from it, i miss my terminal 23

2k16 men plain and simple but so exciting. I got 2k18 but still I'm missing the 2k16
I still play 2k16 every day damn near lol it’s a classic atp
i still jam nba2k11-2k16 on ps3 gameplay much more fun than current gen
I really hope nba live comes this year
not related to the video subject but nice choice with the persona 5 night theme
Thanks 😂
Man this is why I completely stopped buying 2k this year I just switched to cfb 25
Man I was stuck on last gen 2k’s until 2k18 😭 I played all the others on my xbox 360
Miss sp days, 2k10 back when i was dominating on GSW D-league team. Some of yall aint never heard of the D-League 😂😂
I used to play on the magic 😂😂 good days

Things will only change once people stop buying the games

I feel like they should release a 2K every 2 to 3 years
Fax
2k17 was peak

2k vid with the persona music in the back? I think I’ve found my people🙏😂 seriously though i went back and played 2k11-16 on a spree kinda. The effort for myleague and career is at an all time low it’s sickening.

Faxxx 😂
YOU kinda lost me when you said you play myleague & not park or city games
Wym?
Does anyone have 2k16 updated roster for 2024-2025
Dude got persona in the background W vid
Yessir
Blaming 2K but not blaming the community for exploiting the hell out the games every year is crazy work.
Just made a vid about it😤
1:45 there was a sp glitch
GTA 6 drops this year 2k is overcooked nb buying ts this year no matter if it’s good or not and it’s very rare that it’ll be good their last chance was 2k25😂😂
persona ost enjoyer 🤝🏾
2k20 was my favorite 2k idk what it was being che was just to GOATED
nostalgia carries this game ngl
@@princeeli3374 you prob right but still peak
Just like the nhl series nhl 14 is still as good compared to nhl 25 especially when it comes to presentation nhl 14 is miles ahead
2K14 came out in 2013
20 was the last best game 21 was the last fun one
I literally just deleted my whole myplayer and deleted the shit
Once NBA Live stopped being seen as good competition for 2k it was over from there and then they stopped making games which allowed 2k to take over just like how EA took over football video games
They’ve already did 2 year delay with WWE and made the worst games ever so I don’t think that’s in their plans 😂💯
2k21 still has the best mycareer mode in my opinion... But 2k17 I'll always remember for the best gameplay period
😂
2k17 and 2k20 definitely overrated
100$ a player too expensive for my liking I’ll play something else
Uncharted graphics was way better
Wtf?!?!2k17 was dope
Nostalgia is one heck of drug😭
Greed and money also there’s no saving this company and game they need to experience something like Concord or something like what blizzard is going to the Marvel rivals and POE2 that
bring back NBA Live
2k13 was better than 14
@cowboyslakersplace678 I prefer 14 ngl but 2k13 has the best soundtrack
20 take invalid
20 take is indeed valid
2k24-2k25 😭😭 in my opinion were terrible and over priced I liked 2k18-2k23
15-17 I also liked but everybody had the same face scan 🤦🏾♂️
2k17>>>2k16
Buggin
2k18>>>2k17 I don't wants to be dead beat in 2k17
Yeah after they haven’t got a game right since next gen. Wack parks & gameplay. Bring 2k20 parks back or 2k16.. & gameplay with just better graphics
