Dubai-based Michael Cinco shares the story behind his couture and passion for fashion in the first episode of The Global Filipino.
The Global Filipino, one of Team MMPI's eight original shows airing on the GMA News TV, is a biopic of Filipinos living abroad who made a difference in their respective fields today, closing in the distance with their local counterparts.
Team MMPI (Marnie Manicad Productions International) is a Philippine-based production company whose production endeavours include original television and online content for the local and international audience.

Michael is a very humble person. Imagine, he allowed a relatively small RUclipsr to interview him although we're pretty sure that he's a busy person. The way he speaks is also very sweet. Salute to this Filipino icon!
I admire his artistry and humility. He is so successful but he still remember his roots. I think he is really a wonderful person because he got good karma. He also supports his fellow Filipino designers here in the Philippines. I felts sad and a bit angry for him when the MU Canada organization took advantage of his kindness in giving free gowns for their candidate. He does not need to give them free for publicity because his brand is already well known and they were not even grateful.

Ever since I was young too I have this passion from designing. But not in Fashion line, sa interior ako and fine arts. But then I never realized that I’ve been doing some designing that includes dresses and clothes. I even make costumes for plays and events in schools... then cosplaying also. Then I realized, Why didn’t I saw this before? (I was dumbfounded about it) Share ko lang talaga to but I want it to share it to those are aspiring to be a designer too.
Me as a part of the young generation, M5 really inspired me to create achieve my dreams and to create what I want and what I love to do. And talagang mabait yan! And napaka down to earth in person! Nag papicture kami with him and sya pa po talaga yung tumayo from their table (kasi nasa hotel yun like doon sa buffet area) I said and my mom too said “Pwede po mag pa picture?” And he just said “Sure darling halika dito” then umakbay sya then talagang nanginginig ako na di maintindihan. You can feel that he’s a wonderful person.

Your humor and manner suit you well as a counter balance to the SERIOUSNESS of your intended creativity. As an art dealer i too am driven by a passion for 'visual calories ' but lately i realized that have a big LIKE of art..but i no longer love art. Instead i find myself bowing to the exaltation of MOTHER NATURE. When i am in the countryside i find myself humbled by its beautiful balance.
