I am not a electronic type person but would like to do what you have here, I don't understand what pins you are connecting to on the laser control board that goes to the PWM pins on the Shapeoko control board. I do know my Atomstack Pro does not have a designated PWM pin,
It can, but I never really messed with it, at the same time I switched to a cnc4newbies z slider so switched to UGS. Myerswoodshop used carbide motion though
@@jayrich1985 yeah, I read somewhere that it's slower cause it's slow to turn the beam on and off every time or something like that. ty for your answer
@@loc5532 I used the free until it ran out then paid the 40, well worth it. You will have to change the gcode settings. If you check out Myers workshop, he has an entire video showing what ya need to change in the settings to turn the laser on/off etc.
@@jayrich1985 Yeah. Connected and it works. The only problem is the movement - don't figure out the 0 point and direction. Set the X and Y distance for the Shapeoko but it goes right off the table. Have to figure out all the settings.. Thank you for your video
That was AWESOME!! I'm going to give this a try once I get the hang of my S3. Thank you!
Good one, James. Thanks for the solid info.
Nice! Thanks for sharing. So few posts on this topic. This gets right to it!
I also just bought an Amazon china 15w, should be here this week.

Thanks for the video. Did I miss the part #’s? I would like to copy yours
Shoot I made this for a facebook group and must have forgot to add them below. I'll search and add it to the video detail
I have a question: can the built-in carbide motion work the laser? ty

What software do you use to run the laser?
I use lightburn.
@@jayrich1985 did you buy it or trial?
When I connect everything my laser is On right away and stays on. What did I do wrong?
