Well dome again bossman, I like the weathering on too of the tanks, not intentional but it looks like when terriers would have extra coal stacked on their cab roof or tanks as the bunker was too small, I really appreciate the wheels not being painted as the problem with Tomy customs is people done paint the wheels properly and protect the paint with clear coat so it all scratches off once it starts running. Let brother make more custom videos‼️‼️
I really appreciate the support man! My customs may not be great, but I do try my best and comments like these make me motivated to do more, so thank you!!!
Oh and splendid . Dry brush black on a model for weathering in creases . It’s what I have been doing for god knows how long . You get a brush dip it in black paint . Then wipe most of the paint of on the lip side bit on the cup thing . Then go into places like the water tank filler cap and whistles area and coal bunker and for the water filler cab go around it in a circle motion like how kids draw them lines of the sun in drawings kind of motion like that . For the whilstles go up … just up . And for the bunker go down in streaks back first then the sides after . That’s how I do it and the best places to put it and realistic ways it falls on engines . The reason I know this is cuz I voilenteer on a railway called George Stephenson railway and clean the engines or if not doing that on maintenance trains down the line I love them jobs . And cleaning a saddle tank is harder than y think . Anyways I got my weathering placemats and streaks from where it is on the engines before they get cleaned . Y know like all the places I mentioned before Anyways splendid . Good on ya for winning . Imma be off . I got to do some other things . Bye 😁
Two techniques for weathering; you could take a brush it in any color you want, but not too much then brush it on a few spots on the paper towel and then just neatly brush on the places you want or get weathering powders dip the brush and put it on the engine. I suggest the first one for either tomy or trackmaster, that is if you make another custom again
You should have just drenched that thing in hot water wait a few mins then it might get paint off. Also I keep wanting to eat it bacuse the coal looks like oreo cookies crushed up

F R E A K Y T I M 🗣🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
For withering I always do dry brushing. It's very easy and the effect looks realistic enough.
What I used to do is use an old toothbrush and paint to do coal weathering
Still not the best but it's better than nothing
Great custom by the way

Wow, this absolutely peaks! If I ever did a customs series, what should I name it?
Thank you! Hmm…I think you should name it TTL Customs or ThomasLad Customs maybe!
