amazing development! I've been practicing the BOM lately and have definitely seen results. David, have you done any research or have any ideas which BOM should be used prior to chips/pitches?

Greg, thank you for your note... full swing BOM for chips and pitches. To set a neutral shaft plane at address, set the BOM, don’t move your feet, stand tall, eyes on your target and reset posture. If your stance and middle finger power spots match, your shaft plane will be neutral. When your shaft plane is neutral, your arms and hands will hang under your shoulders. I have a video coming out on this in next few weeks. Thank you for your interest. David

Hi David, love the videos i'm fascinated by them and cant wait to try them on the course. Would this help with heel strikes, i always strike middle to heel no matter what i try or do. I'm off 8 so half decent.

Greg, your heel strikes are likely a result of a low shaft plane. To check shaft plane, set up and address a ball, leave the club grounded with your lead hand, Let your trail arm hang relaxed. Rotate your relaxed trail hand toward your lead hand. If you have low shaft plane, the shaft will be lower than your trail hand. If it is neutral, the life line of your trail hand will cover your lead thumb as you bring your trail hand toward the shaft / grip without having to move your trail hand up or down. As you swing, your arms and hands seek neutral (under your shoulders) .. a low shaft plane moves out so a center face address moves to the heel. Most of my students with a low shaft plane address on the toe of the club to minimize hosel shots. If you have your Wright balance stance widths and your “middle finger power spots” ,do the full swing BOM, check your trail hand position and note a low shaft plane (BTW, low shaft plane tends to go with an open hip line at address)...don’t move your feet, stand tall and reset your posture and note that your trail hand lifeline now lines up perfectly with your lead thumb. Next note your address position on the club face..if it is addressed on the toe, move to center of club face otherwise you will start to get toe shots... several more videos coming out over the next few weeks on this concept, alignment and grip, etc. Thank you for your interest. Greg. David

@@Wrightbalance Hi thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I will give that a try, on another note i have tried your putting tips today on the course and putted great and the stroke felt natural. The BOM thing definitely works.

Doc does this simple rolling of the shoulders to balance the kinetic chain get ruined if you lift your lead heel on the backswing?

    • @Wrightbalance

No, the closed kinetic chain is broken only when you lose total contact with the ground (raised foot) on one side. Please think of the 1 second movement of the shoulders toward the sternum as a pinch, relax and take a deep breath starting your swing as you relax your traps 2/3 through your exhalation
