Most cops don't defuse situations and Frank is a perfect example of one who got into that line of work because he's a bully and likes pushing people around. If you're one of those Blue Line, "all cops are heroes" people please save your breath. Thanks for all the good information you provide.
First, the idea that, if the officer would just give in to the driver's requests, everything would go smoothly, presumes waaaay too much on the behavior of random drivers/random members of the public. Answering that first question leaves a LOT of room for a demand for a license to be produced to be ignored as the driver tries to argue against the reason for the stop. Bottom line: First things first, as determined by the officer. Second, it IS the officer's job(one aspect of it) to maintain control of the stop, and courts tend to side (and have for quite a while) with officers, giving them the authority in almost all (if not all) encounters with citizenry.
What the fuck does “control” mean? In real life it seems to mean being the biggest asshole possible while being the most rude. Like all other cops, you are just a liar.
The cops do not tell you WHY they pulled you over because doing so means they cannot extend the stop longer than they should and they love playing cat and mouse with your rights

Let's face it Frank makes videos, and it would really be mundane if he didn't add some sarcastic dialogue. He pretends to be the "cool" cop. Ask yourself this question, why is this guy who has allegedly been a Deputy Sherriff for many years still doing traffic duty? Just saying.
I wonder if Andrew knew he was on the Brady List before making this video. If he did, I imagine his critique of Frank would have been much more scathing.
There are no "cool cops." Some may act nice, but there is always a secondary agenda. The saying goes, " You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar." Make no mistake, even the nice ones are trying to catch you in something.
Based on the wording of the 4th Amendment, cops absolutely should state the reason they are detaining someone before demanding ID, so We the People know if the stop is lawful. Too many times, cops ask "where are you heading?" without stating the reason for the stop, so that question alone could cause the driver to question if they have been pulled over unlawfully. Frank gives off vibes he pulls people over for giggles and ratings, and neither of those are lawful or constitutional.
The road sign thing bothers me. Officer Frank has absolutely no proof that the road sign is stolen. I myself have a road sign that was custom made for me by a private company to commemorate one of my sports hero's. It looks like a real road sign but isn't and I didn't steal it. So how does Frank know otherwise?
A couple years ago, I read that car manufacturers actually tinker the speedometer to your benefit: Generally, If your speedometer reads 65, you're actually at about 63. The "gap" is actually to help you avoid being pulled over for speeding. HOWEVER, I would not trust the gap, espec. if an older vehicle (it could be off from age, wear and tear). Simply, though - with NO regard to intent - if you are over the limit, go easy on yourself and just say, "Yes, sir."
@@dennisanderson3895 AAA has a trailer to test it. hell, your phone can test it by comparing it to GPS. tire pressure and aftermarket wheels can make your speedo change a bunch.
I have to disagree. I routinely drive 78mph where the speed limit is 65mph AND I get passed by police cars going 80 to 85. Last week I was going 82 on my Ducati and the state motorcycle cop passed me (speed limit was 65mph)
Excuse me. "I don't know why they even pulled him over for 15 (mph) over the limit". What part of the country do you live in. There are laws, and for the officer to exercise discretion, a few miles OTL might not even equal a stop. BUT 15 over should not be a discretionary call.

The 10 freeway that runs thru Pinal county is the Cartel highway and they frequently deal with Cartel members and military grade firepower . Asking for you DL quickly is a way to know who you are if you decide to run . As for the speeders he always pulls people over for felony speeding violations but I have only seen him arrest one person . As for the videos they are of course edited down and you never see the entire stop and they are produced by the Sheriff as a way to let people know do not speed thru Pinal county because yes if you are 10 over the speed limit you will get a ticket just ask any trucker who travels the 10 freeway they will always say the same thing DO NOT SPEED IN PINAL !

Exactly, he is just so full of himself, and his mouth is full such lovely teeth that he just can't help showing them to the world.
Why do the police feel like they're better than everyone else? The police should get the same respect as any other municipal worker, no more no less. Your local garbage man would never talk to you like that.
Well, Sloup shows us that they deserve less respect than your average public employee.
The only way that will happen is to abolish qualified immunity

Asking someone why they are recording while a camera crew stands right behind him, is the height of foolishness.
It shows the cop thinks he has entitlements and status that the driver does not. Cops hate being recorded. Always. Despite constantly recording everyone else. And they will always comment (complain to high hell) about you recording if there is a report.

It's like the Stanford prison experiment, Frank is intoxicated with the attention,
First, the idea that, if the officer would just give in to the driver's requests, everything would go smoothly, presumes waaaay too much on the behavior of random drivers/random members of the public.

Mr Flusche, FWIW, I dig your videos - please keep them coming!
Frank is a prime example of the malignant laziness infecting American policing. It's too much effort to de-escalate and behave professionally.

The road sign thing bothers me. Officer Frank has absolutely no proof that the road sign is stolen. You have a source for that? I can’t find anything on it?
Arizona is super strict on their speed limits. I got one for 63 in a 60
A couple years ago, I read that car manufacturers actually tinker the speedometer to your benefit: Generally, If your speedometer reads 65, you're actually at about 63.
You looked like you were riding dirty and they wanted a look.
In my 2011 bmw 328 I have to go close to 40mph to be at 35. I didn’t realize it until 1 day I was using google maps.
