    My QX65's Battery life have 3 tier:
    When doing acros, its about 3:30, when racing, it's about 4:30.
    When the battery connector is not secured well (due to crash or rush when changing packs), it's under 2:30 and the connector get very hot.
    I dont think a OSD are going to cost 30% of flight time considering the whole thing runs on about 5 - 10 amps.

    Andy. My qx65 has almost 4min fly time.... And simple solution for motors sliding from motor shafts is a bit of transparent thin tape on the side of motors and shafts and works fine ;)

    Thanks for the comparison Andy, I was waiting for someone to do this.
    Then,
    QX65 has the price,
    Tiny 6X has the performance
    7X has the best of two worlds
    And 8X is the whoop for outdoors.
    :)

    Andy, I own the QX65 advanced, consistently get around 3:30 to 4 minutes of flight time, are your batteries at fault?

    • @AndyRCchannel
      @AndyRCchannel  7 лет назад

      every battery that came with the qx65 was puffed bar one. the one working one fully charged at 4.35 and rarely gets above 3 mins all depends on how you are fliyng. the flying in the video although you couldnt see seepeded up was constant forward motion. perhaps hovering on the spot would give more time but across all of these it performed the worst when it came to flight time and performance

    • @samocooper9070
      @samocooper9070 7 лет назад

      Yea man so the batteries clearly had an issue.. all 6 of mine were fine sent to here in New Zealand. should have added that in the video, other than that great video man

    • @andrempo
      @andrempo 7 лет назад

      I also get around 4 minutes of flight time. I changed PIDs close to project mockingbird and reversed motors so that the direction is the same as the inductrix.

  • @gitech7450
    @gitech7450 7 лет назад

    I'd suppose the shorter flight time of the QX65 is (also) due to the small 615 motors being less efficient due to there minuscule dimensions. Also, I think the Tiny xX cams can be used as a separate micro cam. They have the 3 ground/positive/video wires right? Was hoping a vid like this would come out. Tnx for the info Andy! Cheers :)

    Superb comparison Andy. They are great in their own way, and work out of the box. I like the pro box, it looks like a great way to get started, if you buy a flysky radio and a cheap pair of goggles on the side. Like some of the goodish ones you reviewed ;-)

    Cheers for the comparison - as always a great vid Andy. One point - were the batteries the same in the QX65 & Micro6? I have a QX65 running the Project Hummingbird settings + CrazyPony HV batteries with the 2.0 connector and comfortably getting a good 3 minutes - for me the adjustable cam angle and OSD are worth it, but I know what you mean about the loose motors, I have one!

    • @AndyRCchannel
      @AndyRCchannel  7 лет назад +2

      yes iv seen it not sure im getting or not. since iv flown the qx65 it iv not gotten over 3 and a half mins. i did three runs of flight times here and it cut out at 2 min 40 every time.... i would say 4 mins on stock battery is not correct information from my point of view.

    The reason for the short flight time of the QX65 is the 1.25mm connector.

    • @AndyRCchannel
      @AndyRCchannel  7 лет назад +1

      the size of the connector will only stop brown outs. it still flys for less than the rest. cheers

    • @Erik-oi6je
      @Erik-oi6je 7 лет назад

      Still strange. I have a BeeCore with OSD and 7mm motors. Flight time is 4+ minutes. Never experienced shorter flight time because of the OSD. But it is a good video. Nice to compare these Whoops. Tiny 6X is a big improvement to it;s older brother the Tiny 6. The 1.25mm connector was awfull and the motors where to weak.

  • @dazultra2000
    @dazultra2000 7 лет назад

    Weird the QX65 had such poor battery. My homemade whoop uses the beecore V2, high KV motors and a 260mah HV and I easily get 4 mins out of simple hovering

    • @dazultra2000
      @dazultra2000 7 лет назад

  • @yozan122
    @yozan122 3 года назад

    I think the eachine qx65 is the best option since the frame, motor ,propeller and battery is universal so you can just get a eachine e010 frame or an upgraded motor that is the same as the other eachien tiny whoops
    You can just buy a 450mah or 600mah battery to increase the flight time but it will make the drone a little slower
